Welcome to Switzerland ;)
I have decided to play with Helvetia as peaceful and strictly neutral nation. So, no wars, no alliances, only royal marriages, trade and bank loans. I hope it will not be boring. This AAR will be very short, because I am going to write only about very important events. Now, in February 1551, a year after I converted to reformism, my country is in good shape. I hope it will last long. Look at the map of central Europe.

After action report from Zurich

I have just finished my strictly neutral game with Helvetia. I have never been part of any alliance (just RM). I have fought only one war against indian alliance (Mughal, Hyderabad and Mysore), it took 8 months almost at the end of the game in 1791 (they daclared it to destroy my 5 tradingposts on the coast of India). At the end I have badboy -27. But I surprisingly colonised the world!!! In the second half of the 16th century I received in an event 3 settlers so I sent them to Roanoke to establish colonies. I had succes and since that time I started to receive 2 settlers every year (I was reformed). It helped me to built some cities and many trading posts all over the North America and some in Caribbean and later (I even started to receive 3 settlers yearly because of my new shipyard in 18th century) also in SE Asia. This is unbelievable for tiny inland country like Helvetia! I made some profit from trade and from my 2 goldmining cities in Mexico, so I upgraded officials and built factories. At the end I have 14 cities with fully upgraded officials and factory and also one shipyard, and of course many trading posts all over the world. Unfortunately I don´t have any CoT - I don´t know why?! Do you know? On this political map of Europe you can see what have happened, but I don´t care about international affairs in this game as Helvetia much.

Novel and fun idea with a pacifist game. Great colonial empire for a non-aggressive Switzerland, and for anyone else too. I guess you must have gotten unlucky with not getting any CoT. Did any colonial neighbour get one?
I am also curious whether you managed to avoid wars altogether or if you had to fight some at least?

I was probably unlucky with no CoT - all other important colonial powers got some. I was not in any alliance during whole game and had only one short war at the end of the game (8 months in 1791) declared by Mughals, Hyderabad and Mysore and only some of my TPs were destroyed. Sometimes it was quite funny that all Europe was in huge wars, but I was able to keep my neutrality. :)
