Hey everyone,

I never used Synthetic Fertility so I have some questions about the Identity Repository:

1) Can only my own species go into it? Is it limited to 6000k identities by that?

2) Why exactly would I want to build more than 1 if the output is devided anyway?

I never used Synthetic Fertility so I have some questions about the Identity Repository:

Awesome. Hope you're excited for one of the best origins in the game. Gatekeeper, one of the developers, really knocked it out of the park with this one. It is my personal favorite in terms of world building and setting (in that I actually LIKE Mind-Uploading science fiction).

1) Can only my own species go into it? Is it limited to 6000k identities by that?

Yep! Only your primary species can go into the Identity Repository... KINDA, there is an event called "Limbo" that has you encounter xenos that are in a nasty predicament and would like to go into your Identity Repository. I believe it adds about 500 additional identities to your repository.

2) Why exactly would I want to build more than 1 if the output is devided anyway?

Because you maybe find a better planet, a bigger planet where you can upgrade it into an Ecumenopolis and pile on more and more jobs to get more and more benefits. The primary benefit is the Mechanical pop output modifier that you get applies to all of your robots on the planet.

Unfortunately, and I am unsure if this is intentional or not, but you can only split and divide the Identity Repository, you cannot find a new planet, build an Identity Repository on it, and then tear down the old one to consolidate the bonus. At least I am not sure if this has been changed. I'd like it to be changed personally for the previously mentioned reason, but as it stands no such luck.
