I have examined the bug report list and could not find the TAC bombing bug reported. If it is there, it's tough to find. So at the risk of being redundant, and in the hopes of drawing attention to this very important issue, I posted the following thread on the bug reporting board:
"Often, when players engage in TAC or naval bombing, they will experience a crash to desktop. In fact, this bug occurs so frequently that it makes multiplayer unplayable. It is also a bug that is common among online and LAN players, as the following thread demonstrates:

I've searched the bug report list on this board, but have not found this bug among those reported, despite the fact that it is a common affliction and is frequently discussed in the multiplayer forum. In my view, fixing this bug is absolutely critical. Given the sad state of the AI, multiplayer is a vital component of this game and will certainly be critical to ensuring its longevity. Having said that, however, a WWII game without TAC or naval bombing is rediculous to say the least. Fixing this bug should be priority number one for the next patch.
Let me also say that this situation is quite frustrating. On the one hand, I want to support game developers who produce WWII grand strategy games because too few are made. I think many players share this sentiment. On the other hand, buying a product that is virtually unplayable due to bugs and poor AI is rather frustrating. The TAC bombing bug is so fundamental and so apparent that it suggests to me Paradox conducted absolutely no testing of the multiplayer aspect of this game. It is a bad omen indeed when developers don't even play their own game."
