I played the original game several years ago and found it fun despite some of it's more cumbersome traits and decided that since I've got some time to kill and kinda waiting on some patches for some other games that I'd come back and give it another look and see what the expansion did for the game. I see the forum group is still relatively active so that's a good sign. hehe

So this is kind of a heya!

I'll be reading through the guides and info available to reacquaint myself but I assume that the 2.1 beta patch is the most updated for DV and I see several different mods. I'll probably load up and take a look without mods first but I'm sure I'll turn to a mod like I always do. I assume the improvement pack is pretty much the standard one or are there other mods that are relatively as complete? I haven't looked through them all yet to see which ones are still being "relatively" updated.

The Alternative Scenario Setup Mod and the Before the Conquest Mod (see my sig) are also relatively complete

Thanks, I'll give those a look also. BTW, how on Earth do you do it? I see you everywhere. lol. You're not always very active in the other boards but I know I've seen you on many of them. Can't even imagine how you'd keep up!

About to head off to bed but wanted to mention/ask two things first. I know it's not really the appropriate sub forum but those forums appear pretty underused so figure it can't hurt.

The first is I seem to be getting an odd stuttering on my screen. Mostly happens as I scroll around and it just kind of stutters a bit. I'll try to mess with resolution or whatever other graphical settings I can find tomorrow but I didn't see any mention of it in any of the FAQ threads so maybe it's just me. If anyone knows anything about it though it'd be helpful and save me the time figuring it out tomorrow.

I also didn't notice any kind of in game bride-finder type screen to show available or soon to be available potential spouses so I'm assuming I'll still need an out of game tool for that or am I missing something in game?

The stuttering I never experience, so can't comment on that. Is your PC/Graphics card of an older date?? ... i know ther ehave been some issues in the past with integrated Intel graphics cards.

As for the bride finder, you will find that on page 5 of the ledger. That is accessed via the button that is between the two zoom buttons in the mini map.

try to close every other program running on your computer

It's not exactly a new top of the line graphics card by any means but is able to run V2, EU3, and HOI3 with no problem as well as non PI games such as Empire total war. Closed some of my normal programs I leave running in the background and the stuttering issue is gone so it was one of those and just need to try and pinpoint which one so I can let the others continue to run.

And awesome about the bridefinder tab! I remember that was one of my biggest annoyances when I first played so really glad they added it. Going to take another look around and see what else they added that I haven't already spotted.
