Taking control of a faction

I'm in a faction to install my sister-in-law as the new ruler of the North, but i'm not the leader. Every few weaks a pop up comes up saying i can restart the faction to become its new leader, but i cant figure out how to do it. Anyone know what to do?

I've had this happen often as well. If I'm not mistaken it's a vanilla event that is bugged.

Thanks for the reply. The faction launched anyway, so it doesnt really matter.

No sorry, but if i come across the bug again, i'll keep a save.

Do you have the latest patch of the game?

The faction problems should have been mostly fixed by the latest beta patch.
