I had the worst experience of my life in my most recent match.

A teamate chat spammed "XXXXX is a ni$$$r" and bombed his teamate to oblivion.

Not only did he taunt 7 other players that they could not report him, "because paradox only moderates official games and forums" we could not mute him on the team chat. This will not do for being worth my time. Not only is the most basic MUTE feature unavailable, there is no moderation of the community?

I dont understand how you couldnt mute him in the chat ?

Press on his name in the game chat and click the Mute button and he is gone,you wont see him spamming in chat anymore and can follow his name changes too in your mute list.

Or you meant Mute as ingame Kick button?Thats not possibble and as Gunman said,report it to Eugen forum or someone from the Devs you see around here and he will get banned.
 
But does even that mute option works in-game, not only in pre-game chat? Because some time ago I had a player on my muted list and I decided to not kick him out of my lobby, but of course, nothing changed, he acted like an asshole in that game too and his messages showed up to me too. Maybe he was already banned and simply made another profile with the same username and that's the reason why I was still able to see his messages!?!

But anyway in my opinion MUTE option is not enough for this game and it really needs a BLACKLIST option too, that don't allow players from blacklist to join your created lobbies, because from time to time I come across assholes who not only use toxic language, but even when they are kicked out of lobby, joins it back multiple times, start jump between teams so it's harder to catch them and kick out and it continuous till everyone else leaves this lobby and there is nothing you can do about it...

Maybe you unmuted him by accident or his friend renamed himself as that guy so he trolled you or ye,he got banned and couldnt wait to get unbannned and bought new copy of SD44,profit for Eugen.

But it should work in game,just press ESC and find the troll in the chat history and Mute him and GG,i was the happiest person when i found it out in Wargame,saved my nerves in 1vs1 ranked when bad losers start to troll/insult after they realise that they are about to lose.

Was this in your own custom game? If so you're kind of out of luck and he is indeed right that Eugen only bans on official servers, not custom servers, there's a slew of people that mass teamkill in Wargame Red Dragon right now and they get away with it due to it being on people's own servers.

Your best bet is muting and blacklisting him so you know next time to kick him from all your games.

When you have one, two or only handful of people on your muted list, then you can manually manage it, but after a while when the list grows bigger it becomes harder and most importantly just annoying to check everyone manually, so it would be beneficial to add some automation to it + it really don't saves you from people who keep rejoining your lobby just to troll you and run other people off of your lobby...

Of course, ban system can be abused in such manner as you described, but, on the other hand, what really don't allow those people to do it in SDN44 - you just need to do it manually and if they are determined to do it, then they will do it anyway + I really don't understand that argument about stats hiding either - in theory new players can see stats of players against who they play too and if they see that they are against player with 100s of games and 75% win-rate he can back out of that game and if they are not aware that they can see it, then that's Eugen fault, that they throw new players under the train without any preparation! In my opinion, multi-player aspect of the game should be locked from the start and could be unlocked after beating medium AI in a 1v1 game with each division.
