I wrote about this in the support forum as well, but maybe one of you knows something.

I'm in a LAN, using a linux server to connect to the Internet. Somehow the masquerading seems the interfere with the game connection. I just wont find the host. Is there a way to be able to play MP from inside a LAN (don't tell me I should use my old modem, I still have two of them, but I have no standard telefon :).

Thx in advance.

I am also....

....playing from a LAN. We have a LAN without any firewall and use static IP addresses....

I guess that you only have one 'internet' IP and use a proxy or something.

Test if you an 'ping' the opponent and if he can ping you on the IP you both find with your 'winipcfg'.....

If you can't then I doubt you can without opening this up...

Playing inside the LAN between the PC in the LAN should be ok though.....

Well, I can ping him. But as I do have a local IP only, its difficult to ping my PC. I can tell him the IP of the server, but my local IP wouldn't help a bit. So it might be a question of masquerading. Do you have static non-local IP adresses inside of your LAN? thats quite unusual.
