Technology foci change without my interaction.

I just gained a tech level in a county of my demesne and checked my foci. They were: Tactics, church taxes, and noble customs. I am 100% I did not choose tactics and church taxes and that I had the focus on siege equipment and castle infrastructure instead. Pretty sure I had legalism instead of noble customs, too.

So yea, at some point my foci were switched, but not by me.

Maybe it's similar to appointed bishop successors who do not all persist when you reload your savegame?

It sounds like it's not a case of "why did noble customs improve when I had legalism focused", rather "I focused on legalism and later noble customs was focused". I've seen the same thing happen occasionally and I'm pretty sure it happened in the same play session (so no reloading issues). I've always chalked it up to something like a ruler change or something.

You focus changes if you heir was a ruler before he inherited your character. He brings his own technology focus and council so you should always check those after thatkind of inheritance.

So this is not a bug.

If it happened after a character change. Of course it didnt happen ever after I had an eye on it...

Ok, my mistake. I will try to produce it myself but please keep me posted if you get any more information on it. A save would probably not be of any value since you're saying that it didn't happen again. Just try and reproduce the possible steps of the game and see if it has any effect.
