The terrain should be diffrent from than the one from HOI.
Example : Serbia and Bosnia should be mostly mountenius(
because they are and because it would give serbia some chance
for defence and none for offense like it was historically.).And Bulgaria i think should be particalary hilly not mountanius,I mean i was there seven days ago and while I was going around Sofia
I saw no mountains except some few hills.

So will there be any terrain changes?

The A-bombs!!! oh damn... that was later...erm...

I do believe he is implying that Paradox actually used the wrong terrain types for provinces in HoI in general and just wants you to change them in TGW, but you can't really can yoU?

Are you certain you have been exactly in Sofia? Sofia is surrounded by the Mountains of Vitosha (2291m) and Stara planina (around 2000m at these parts) If those are hills, Serbia and Bosnia are plains :p

eeeeer...I will excuse your ingorance my bulgarian friend, cause you probably never been to bosnia excpet watching it on TV during the war,if you were old enough(probably pissing you pants or something). Not sure, but the talest peaks of Bosnia were in the central bosnia were the were around 2500 m.Lets say that at least Mostar as province desreves to be mountanous.Wanted to say that to those CORE guys but I forgot.Ljubljana as a probvince also,it part of Alps i think it has peaks of 3000 m and more.Kraljevo or (Kragujevac(both cities are in that region))should be hills,i don get it how did they made it flat.Hills at the north are (smalest ones) 500 m,in the south 1000 in the west 1500 and around citi around 900.I gotta map of Serbia&Mtn on my wall.
And on kosovo we have djeravica whis is 2657 m,and whisch is still hilly. Its really insane to have a same bonus for Bulgaria and for Switzerland, not to mention Tibet or Nepal etc.Thats what I was trying to say.

I think that provinces with a peak aobut 3000 with around 60% of its teritory mountain spring should be considered mountaius, cause there isnt anything in Hoi between a hill and a mountain.

Now now, children! I don't think Dimitar deserves to be called a bed-wetting child just because he may (or may not) have made a mistake in reference to Bosnia's lovely mountain and countryside scenery. I expect people to address each other in a gentlemanly fashion and not engage in such trivial arguments over mountains or the prenounciation of Russian.

Actually I was a teenager then
Anyway my point was Sofia region in HOI includes the Mountains of Rila (2925m.), Pirin (2914m.), Rhodopes (2191m.), Vitosha (2290m.), Osogovo (2251m.), Belasitza (2029m.), parts of Stara planina (average of 2000m. in these parts), etc. A quick look at this map:
maphomebg.gif

will show you that most of Sofia region, as defined in HOi is indeed mountainous. However if you define mountain regions as containing 60% territory above 3000m., then you are right - there are no mountains in the Balkans. ;)

No problems :)
I do agree there are a lot of map problems with all Paradox games. But believe me, as a Beta tester I must tell you that map changes after the initial release are nearly impossible to implement.

I think merging it with one of the numerous threads about miscellaenous stuff will do.

I think there is a value where 1 = beach, and 0 = no beach, although I'm not sure where this is, if that is the right value, or if it even exists.

In any case, if possible, there should be a beach in Gallipoli.

Indeed, I've put it on the growing 'To Do' list :)

Putting the entries for provinces 872 and 873 side by side, it seems that the 12th code along is a '3' for Thessaloniki (which has a beach) and '0' for Constantinople. So change that 0 to a 3. Also, the 26th-28th codes also relate to beaches. 10819;2254 are the coordinates where the beach icon appears, and 0 is the 'Beach Icon' code whereas Thessaloniki has 10726;2269 and 14 for the icon code. I presume changing the 0 to 14 will make a beach appear on the map, although it might not be in the correct position or fit the coastline shape properly - presumably there are at least 13 other beach icons to experiment with!

Well it may not be beautiful (we can work on that later), but hey at least you got your beach.

I thought I'd place this request in here, as I couldn't find another place for it...

We need a port for Mecka province to simulate Yenbo or Rabegh, where the British largely supplied Feisal's Arabs in their revolt against the Turks.

Could be a job for Patch, the 'Grand Duke' of provinces....
