First i was wondering if that is a general thanks and about the motivation for it, then i took a look
and saw the new opening page.

Actually i find the Vic 3 advertising annoying and taking too much space on the right and altogether it currently
leaves me with a rather ugly impression, but that will surely be in parts due to the change and inital 'shock'
and the icon issues fixed soon and the new structure and overview is of course better, than having only four options
(top right they were as i recall) to choose from initially.
So while sceptical, outside the advertising it's probably alright (northern type praise) and the right direction.
PS:
I think the Latest News being on the same height as the Important Pages could help alleviate the negative impression
the advertising leaves with me (and maybe others as well).
PS_2 : I see that's the case for EU4 and Skylines pages as well, but i can't say that i like it, as it pushes itself too much
to the foreground. I use 'foreground', as it really feels a bit like taking a step to the for before everything else.
Hint to new players using the Wiki, take advantage of the search box top right.
It will find you (most likely) already everything you look for.
