That Machine_Parts thingy

Hi folks, haven't been around for while (either on the Paradox fora or playing Paradox games)...

I'm continuining an EU2 game that I want to port to Vicky.

I seem to recall that someone hereabouts mentionned that any Machine Part factories that my uber nation has won't function (ie produce anything) unless I add a particular line to the save file...

It's been over 2+ months since I've played the game or tinkered with it or surfed around here... so I plainly don't remember other than that something needs to be done and that it has to do with machine_parts...

can anyone tell what I need to add and where?

Not sure if montyp ever fixed it. but the way to circumvent it is, after convert the eu2 game, start a regular grand campaign, immediately surrender, start the converted EU2 game.

Okay so if I understand this correctly:

1.) I convert the EU2 game
2.) move in to the appropriate Vicky folder
3.) start a Vicky campaign and surrender
4.) start my converted campaign and the game will remember how to make machine parts?
