So I'm playing as the Iron Throne and the Starks failed to arrest a lord and he revolts. What should have been an easy war for them is turning into a losing battle because their armies march two provinces and then they disband their forces and repeat the process. Meanwhile Mr.Lord Nobody has occupied a good 5 holdings despite being outnumbered 6 to 1. Is this something due to the vanilla AI (I've seen some stuff like this in the base game but nothing approaching this level of stupidity) or is it a bug with the mod itself?

Please say vanilla, It's annoying.

It took the iron throne -51% warscore to actually siege the holding of the rebel..

I've had similar things happen with my Northern Lord play through (Bleeding Years start). If a threat emerges against the northern kingdom the Stark will call his armies but they do really strange things. They will get caught in a loop where it's like the army can't decide which province to go to first (ie the army will pick one province to march then immediatly switch to another province and begin to march that way back and forth). The only solution i've found is raising my own levies and attacking even if outnumbered. This will usually dislodge (not always) any "Northern Army" or whatever under ai control and they'll make a choice. Usually a bad one.

just had same kind of experience... ai has a stack of 14k+ troops moves it next to the provice where 4 k rebels are ... disband troops. over and over aggain. It ruins my fun playing Manderlys in the North. Is the AI only retarded in the north or it like that all over the place?

I've notice the Reach and Westerlands doing this as well so it's not just the North.

Saw this happening in the Stormlands as well between two High Lords fighting a blood feud. Its either armies marching two provinces (always the same two) and then disbanding and re-raising repeating OR the units spending months (until an enemy stack comes into range) break dancing because it can't decide what province it should go to.

Yesterday i made the mod working at last, but those issues really make it hard to play for me...

In the RR scenario, i saw The Reach army reassembling like 10 times before starting to march and then dissapearing again after going through 4-5 provinces. Some rebel forces were just making circles going around 3 neighbouring provinces again and again. It looks like military AI was completly damaged somehow.

Another try, started as Jon in AFFC, took Stannis offer. The first thing he did was dissolving whole Northern army and reassembling his troops in the Stormlands. Repeated 2 times, always happens. It makes The Last Stark game unplayable...

The Iron Throne nearly lost a good portion of the Reach to a religious uprising (a Lunatic converted to the Drowned God and then converted his county before dying and leaving it all to his son who remained a follower of the Seven) despite having a 4 to 1 edge on them. They were down to -75% warscore before they finally finished the stack off, because they couldn't get two steps away from King's Landing without disbanding.

I started the Jon scenario yesterday with .5.1 or whatever the new one. I gotta say it's my most fun play through so far. It's funny because ya stannis does disolve his northern army and raise them back up in the stormlands. I was like WTF and then the hill tribesmen get slaughtered in the north against Ramsay's army. I've got about 500 troops. Not to mention stannis put me in charge of a stormlander army so I didn't even have control of my character (Jon). Anyway for whatever reason a stormlander army came out of no where from the south and took the north. Didn't see any ship landing or anything it was just there. Gets real fun after you have control of the north as Jon Stark.

Oh, and I've only had 1 CTD in 20+ hours of play so I'm really happy.

Thanks for the great mod!
