The ALEXIS project *Now accepting recruits*

Hey everybody

I'm planning on beginning a new modding project to suplement HOI 2 as well as Stony Road. I'm currently a graphics mod of Stony Road as well as a code writer (if ever called upon). However i would like to begin my own project because i have a group of friends who wish to and would like to see a mod which i know my team could produce (hopefully a weeks time for the first release). I would like all kinds of members and would set up different user groups with a moderator over each whom i would issue orders and instructions to for that group (kind of like fight club and the franchises) then that moderator would talk to his team and get the project done, then send work in to me and a compiling team who would review it and thusly package it for installation. I think with such a system in place and weekly quotas such a project could be done by the middle of February. If you are interested please send me a private message here or on stonyroad.de (Armouredwarrior) with information about yourself and what you can do for the project. I will then review and accept you and send you the address for the alexis project sites. I hope this is going to be a great project and a well recognized overall MOd of HOI 2. See you on the front lines.

Hey pal, im glad you asked.....


well the mod is going to be a general compilation mod. we're going to cover unit icons, province icons, all icons, compiling general lists as well as traits, adding events, tweaking game mechanics. we're going to cover everything possible, for example if we can get a sprite maker we'll handle sprites and make a sprite subdivision if we can't get our hands on a sprite maker we won't make sprites, its that simple.

we will mostly focus on Germany and Europe however. this includes russia and turkey as well as all european countries. We hope to start by working on a large event catalog for germany and branch out countrywise from there based on power status. depending on how many members we recieve we may even have departments dedicated to specific countries.

so far we have 3 members, one of which is a coder/sprite maker in training/ scripter, another of which is an event scripter and graphics designer and i have listed my traits. we will have a forum site up soon (probabally tonight) so if interested drop me a PM with your certifications (just a formality, we wont reject you) and ill send you a message back with the URL.

Ahh good to see you on here Greg.

I wanted to give those of you an update who may be following this project (i dont know if any are) or may think about joining up.

Due to bandwith limitations i do not want to post a link to the site as it may compromise the whole thing, that is the explanation for dropping me a message if you are interested. It is not to be selective as i've said.

Next we have completed our first event which is for Poland and involves an Industrial plan based on the first two game months. Second we currently have 4 icon (plate sets) exclusive to our site (you may have seen 2 of the sets on stony road) but i guarantee you the other two are orignal, high quality and unavailable elsewhere. If you would like these icon sets for Germany please drop me a message and get the URL to the site.

Well that's about it, by tonight I hope to add 2 more sets of icons (one motorized, one winter infantry) and then tommorow to add 2-3 more sets. If you are interested (and we are looking for members) please, please send me a message with what you would do for the project (it doesn't have to be anything technical, straight event research is always appreciated)

Hello all. I inform now that on our site was opened Polish sub forum for Polish group! Today also we (Polish group) ended our first event pack which contains seven events.

why don't you join up pal? we're very eager for new recruits. we already have 8 members i belive many of whom are polish (around 70%) you guys even have your own polish forum on the site.

Primo: we don`t have guns, sir ! Yyy... i mean- my english is really bad (grammatik, errors in words)
Secundo: i don`t have any idea about modding... i mean- i know how to modify existing events, but making new... well, that diffrent story...
Tertio: my acces to internet is limited... i mean- i got net in work, but a stern boss too...
But i got a idea too... As i have understood, You and Your group look for event ideas too... Well, i will see what i can do, then i will send it... probably at end of the week... Hopefully, You will find anything interesting :)
Btw. I`m lost on that forum, could You type the straight link ? It would be appreciated.

no please tell me friend, i will not get mad at anyone it was just that i wish for no one to see what goes on at our project unless they are workng for the team, we will go public when the time comes for release.

I don't give anyone a link to our site!-thats for sure. If someone asked i moved him to you Armoured.
 
ok thats fine, id just like to see more people from this site joint up with the project, so far no one has and its very disconcerting.
 
I'd be game. I can do event scripting, but I'm not up for AI changes (yet). As I grow more familiar I can take more on. Drop me a PM and let me know details and requirements (time, etc...the girlfriend can be a pain in the butt, you know :D ).
