chief Little Turtle

I wonder if chief Little Turtle is currently included in the game....

altho he was from the small and insignificant Miami tribe.... he did lead a multi-tribal army that led to an astounding victory over American troops

ME-SHE-KIN-O-QUAH OR Chief Little Turtle was War Chief of the Miami Nation. He led the confederation of Indians that defeated General Arthur St. Clair, at Fort Recovery on November 3, 1791. His force inflicted the worst defeat ever suffered by the U.S. Army at the hands of native Americans. St. Clair's army consisted of 1300 soldiers. In the battle, 602 were killed and about 300 wounded. The Indian force consisted of approximately 1000 warriors. Only 66 Indians were killed in this battle! It was the greatest defeat the Americans ever suffered at the hands of the Indians. Even worst than the loss suffered at the Battle of Little Big Horn or Custer's Last Stand. Custer only lost about 210 men compared to St. Clair's loss of 602 killed!

BTW, this "war" was not conducted in Florida, rather it occured around Iroquois territory, near the Canadian border.

Do you know what are the events, leaders and monarchs for La Plata revolter (today's Argentina)?
I'd like to help the EU community with this, but since I don't have the game I need your help! :)

Maybe one of you could post here all the La Plata stuff you find in the files? Please?

Pred, the rulers are pretty much historically accurate, as I did research into the area before sending Doomie the monarch list. I did have to cut out a few short-lived rulers just to keep it from being too cluttered, but it is as true to history as is reasonably possible from 1806 to 1820...

Someone else will have to post the ruler list for you however, as I'm not sure whether my beta list is the same as that in the release version. Sorry...

Thanks Demetrios! Can I ask you what leaders and monarchs did you include?
There are no events for LAP, right?

Can someone *please* post the LAP stuff in the EU2 files?
PLEEEEEEEEASE!!!! :(

Heck, I'll do it Pred. I don't think there is going to be any difference between the beta and the public versions.

Leaders:

Uh, none.

San Martin should be there! I'll put a message in the beta forum to correct this...

Thanks for all your help, Demetrios! :)

May I suggest that you also include Manuel Belgrano, the military leader that defended our country against the Spanish in the north?
There are many others, of course, but those two are more than enough for the time period covered in the game.

San Martin's crossing of the Cordillera de Los Andes to liberate Chile from the Spanish can't be represented because there's no province of "Mendoza" in the EU2 map, so it may be modelled by an event (i.e. supporting S.M. or not was in discussion at the moment).

One last thing: make sure that our random leader names are Spanish, not Portuguese as I saw in the beta stuff posted. ;)

THANKS!!!!!!!!!
I'll be forever in debt :)

Pred,

tell me what stats you think those leaders San Martin and Belgrano should be (try to determine how really good they were) and I will add them on my alt history GC

also, you can help me with LAP by:

suggesting to me a handful of army and navy names for LAP

for example:

"Flotilla de Argentina"

"Ejercito de La Plata"

etc.

A good IGC is more than just adding more leaders and events. It also means making sure every detail is present, like the nationalistic names of armies and fleets or the names of random excellent ministers.

thnx

There should be at least another event for the government form, to determine stuff like Centralisation, etc.
Another one can be made for the English invasions to Buenos Aires just before our independence, maybe make them increase revolt risk in Spanish colonial possesions, since only after defeating them we felt we could start defending (and governing) orselves.

About San Martin and Belgrano... I don't want to overvaluate them, and since I don't have the game I don't know what's the average random leader.
San Martin troops should suffer less from attrition (was it affected by maneuver value?) and Belgrano was a very good tactician.

Names of armies:

"Ejercito del Norte"
"Ejercito de los Andes"
"Regimiento de Buenos Aires"

Names of fleets:

"Flota de Brown" ... but it doesn't convince me ...

Names of ministers:

"Juan José Passo"
"Manuel Belgrano"

I hope this is useful for someone and is included somewhere! :D

See you!

Hey Pred, I'll link this thread to the beta forum. Some good ideas! :)
