Well, 1492 would be to stretch it.

Well, it's not like this will have to start on one of those exact dates... I imagine the converter will create a new scenario in whatever year CK ends. ;)

I figured that one out too. ;) We'll see, someone will be wrong. :) Not that it matters much, it's the game that matters. :)

Nitpicker! :D

Well, it just jumped out at me because the two different dates are so near each other on the page.:)

It's a valid enough question, really. It seems to me that 1453 would make more sense, but 1419 might be easier for purposes of converting to EU2. I hope they'll go with 1453, just because it seems like the natural time to end a Crusades era game... (and because more time to play is never a bad thing :))

As usual, thanks for taking the time to reply. You guys are great about keeping in touch even when we ask even the smallest things.:) :)

Why doh??? I'd say: woooooooooooooohooooooooooo!!!! The more years playable, the better!

Greven, good choice. 1453 is a good date and Henry the Navigator was starting to explore by then or shortly after as well as the medieval world changing quite a lot in the second half of the 15th century.

1066 and 1453 are also the most notable dates of medieval history. I am thoroughly satisfied. Now I only wonder, if the carry over to EU2 will occur 1419 or 1453.

An interesting question. If they use the saved game to feed into the converter then you could take any year you wanted in CK and turn it in to 1419 in EU II. Unless they programmed the converter to only convert saved files which have a date of 1419 or later - which they might do just in order to set a starting date.
