Hello.

Me and my friend are sitting here playing CK, the joiners game chrases and the host saves..

we then want to start up from where the game chrashed, but when we try to load the game in multiplayer the host gets told "The compression of the scenario file failed. Please contact support". We also tried loading the autosave but we get the same message..

Does anyone know what to do?

Is it impossible to load a game in multiplayer? even though it's a multiplayer game??

We are sitting right now and waiting for a reply so we can continue playing, so a quick reply would be nice..

I don't know if there is an MP specific issue, but at least in SP when a save has been corrupted in stays corrupted. So basically there is no way to make it work again, but you need to either load an earlier save or start anew :(

But I have not heard anybody complain about such problems with the latest 1.05 patch. Are you both using it? If not, then you really should.

If you get that error, then for some reason the new file (with the compressed contents of the original save game) could not be created on the hard drive of the host.

The two most common causes are
- out of sufficient hard disk space
- there is already a file with the same name + extention present, and that file is locked/read only, or otherwise blocked for overwriting.
