The Division Bell, Steel Division: Normandy 44’s fourth patch, is now available. Still developed with the help of selected members of our community, this new patch is all about divisions and balancing.

Our aim with this update is to offer more diversity in division choice for competitive play while restoring a better balance in larger games. To do so, we have made enhancements at different scales for almost all divisions.

Note for modders: You will need to generate and upload your updated mod to make it compatible with this new version.[/i]

Uhh, the 6th Airborne's AB Vickers still has normal infantry servants...
Other than that, great patch.
Noticed no changes to 116 Panzer though, that'll annoy some people.

Also, why did the Fallschrim. sharpshooter lose his AT gun?

Nice changes. Now suddenly many decks have veteran or elite AT hmm. AT gun power creep? RIP Windhunt/PzLehr.

A welcome appearance of elite at in 352, however 716 needed them too. But i know i know 716 is not a veteran division :).

Also a very nice reduction for the Jumbos. But its not like anyone needs more then 3 jumbos per game anyway and i think that 3 is a weak restriction. I would like to see Jumbos limited to 2 total (or 1). That would actually mean something for gameplay in 1v1.

Also just an observation.

Veteran or elite phase A at distribution and deck strength(based on my opinion) I am only listing the decks which have vet or elite phase A at:

Allies:
15scots - super competitive
101ab - comp
2inf - comp
6inf - comp
panzerna - ok or comp (?)

Axis:
3fsj - comp
12pz - not comp in 1v1
352inf - probably ok or competitive(optimistic)

I think there is a pattern here: allies get powerful phase A at guns with vet in many competitive decks and axis get close to none. Right now, axis vehicle play is very very restricted and it means a lot of losses. For the allies i think you can use vehicles much better and easier. Also i think pzlehr and windhunt are out of question hehe. The amount and quality of at guns the allies have leave no chance for halftracks and armored cars.

I will not agree entirely with your list but it is true that some allied divisions with veteran at-guns and now more accurate bazookas for some units definetly have a good chance of shuting axis light vehicle play down.

Yes, I agree. Especially Half Tracks will benifit from IG 18 accuracy nerf, less likely to fall back or get KIA by IG 18 now. Price buff to allied medium tanks would have been sufficient. Also price buff to Panzer IV H with -10 parallell to IV J -10 instead of just 5 for Pz IV J would have made those tank more intresting to achieve instead of Panthers. I believe some changes might have been a little to drastic. But we'll see, maybe we are wrong.

As a dedicated 116th player I am literally crying right now. Two HUGE nerfs to this division in two patches in a row. I've already talked about why I think that this division is no longer a viable option after the last patch, but ohhh my... this changes... Just delete 116th if you don't want anyone to play it. I wish so much that I could get a refund now. RIP 116th, uninstalled Steel Division. I don't remember being so angry...
