Hello, and welcome to my latest AAR! This time, we'll start off down in Fante, an OPM on the West African coast. I've never been a big believer in prologues, so let's get this started, shall we?

This should prove interesting. What religion is Fante? Unreformed pagan or Muslim?

Chapter 1: Away We Go!
Badu of Fante

January 1, 867- October 12, 872

Here I stand, in all my rather questionable glory. I'm decent in stewardship and intrigue, but borderline useless everywhere else. And speaking of useless...

Yeah. It's not exactly a wonder I haven't conquered the known world, with advisors such as these. Still, one works with what one has.

And work I have. Several counties have fallen under my armies, and today, I declared myself Krontihene of Ashanti in a grand ceremony. Things are looking up, I think...

Congrats on having a Ducal Title....

Chapter 2: Crowning Achievements
Omanhene Badu

October 12, 872- August 24, 882

The conquests have continued unabated, and today, I named myself Omanhene of all the Akans. Alas, I have no real artifacts show my strength to the people, but it will be what it will be.

I also have an heir now, ensuring that my dynasty will not pass into the void with me. Unfortunately, us Akans are a matriarchal culture, so his place is by no means certain.

In other, far afield news, the Manicheans of all faiths have reformed. An interesting development- I wonder how it will affect the east...

Congrats on becoming a king!

Are you matriarchal or matrilineal? I thought most African societies were merely matrilineal, but I could be wrong. The logic makes sense here either way.

Congrats on the greater title. Hopefully that will give some stability to your holdings.
