The elevator needs life support pipes and needs to function as a proper drone hub.

It does not make much sense for it not to have them? Also it needs drone recharge pads and proper drone hub buttons.

Also specifying something that they should have: ability to link the extenders to them. I needed to build a drone hub right next to an elevator just so I could then extend the range of that hub.

And on the topic of extenders: It'd be helpful if some drones (minimum 2, maximum 10% of all assigned to the drone hub) would stay near them as a resting spot. It'd help reduce waiting times due to increased travel distance.
