But not this time.

I hear you ask this of me; "Doktor! How can you play as Pagan finns? Is not possible!"

To this I say, "What, did you learn english from some sort of heavy ordinance expert?"

But I also say this! "Of course it's not! I will be a CHRISTIAN Finn!"

To do this task, I shall need your help!

Where shall the Lankila dynasty establish itself? The coastal city of Finland? The northern wastes of the Sames? Or a province in between, perhaps on Karelia!

It is up to you, my dear reader! Tell me where to start, and I shall end this in glory, blood, and victory!

Well this is me! Nice portrait, eh? First thing I did when I got here.

Anyway, this is the realm I inherited a few years ago... Dinky, smelly, full of pagans.

Ahhhh, home... I supposed, maybe, I should show you my advisors...

Tuovi the Useless. If she were male, I'd use her as my marshall. But we all know women can't hold a sword, right? That's why we don't do it? ... Right?

Lempi the Chancellor. She helps out around the realm, making sure that people don't get pissed at us. Well, she would, if there were anyone else but pagans in this freezing tundra...

Mahla the Spy mistress. She stabs people, and keeps me from being stabbed...

I haven't gotten around to playing much yet, because I am lazy as fuck I MEAN because ... no, that's why.

I'll probably have a 10-20 year update tomorrow, but no promises. HOWEVER, I WILL promise that if I don't have it up tomorrow, then Wednesday at the latest.

You could use the NavAARa save file if you care to . 1104. It's got Finland converted (just two provinces, though), the Baltic pagans have conquered part of Germany, Poland is run by a maniac, and the byzantines are split. If you do the edits we were commenting, the Pope will be in a peculiar place.

Plus, I'd love to see an alternate history line (the implosion of the Jimenezes should be fun from the outside).

Is Finland independent? And is it independent with a Finnish culture ruler?

Not independent, not, but...

... Jan 1104 Finland is a Finnish count (Finnish pagan); or alternatively Nov 1105 he's duke of Finland with a domain of three provinces and a lot of vassals; he rules 10 out of the 20 provinces of the Finnish kingdom. He could build the kingdom and become independent rather fast .

Update: since they're Pagan, they're not playable normally .
