I purchased and installed all the dlc, without exception. Never installed mod, game in vanilla mode. the game on windows started to crash and become very slow after opening the L gate. I have an i9 and a 3070, never had this problem before the last dlc astral planes (especially the slowness and jerkiness). Will this type of problem be patched?

I updated the updatable drivers with driver booster 11 and it seems that stellaris is now a little more stable in terms of crashes.... but some driver updates are paid. ideas on completely free driver update programs?
I don't have an answer for that, since I update all my drivers manually. I wouldn't trust a free program to do it for me because there's a pretty good chance it's malware of some kind.

Driver Booster by IOBit isn't malware. They're a good company. I've been using their products for years.

You might want to provide a bit more detail about the crashes e.g. when does it happen? Does it happen at a particular date? The more detail you provide the better.

You should never have to pay anyone for driver updates. What drivers are you seeing that for?
Right-click on stellaris.exe, properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullscreen optimizations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply, and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select the fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, refresh rate 60.
If that doesn't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

FYI, the software we're referring to scans your drivers and then updates them if need be. The paid version does a more in-depth scan than the free one.

I have all the Dovstellaris DLCs and 2000 hours of gameplay. everything always ran well, never a problem, even the late game was never excessively slow. the problem arose immediately with the installation of astral planes. It doesn't crash at specific times but randomly. when reloading the save it doesn't crash at the same point but later, often much later. furthermore, by opening the gate the game crashes more and is enormously slow, time almost doesn't flow and it goes very intermittently, sometimes it flows, sometimes it stops. never had these problems. I have an i9 10th with 3070 and 32gb ram.
it doesn't solve the problem. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and the speed and performance problems seem to have been resolved. even random crashes seem to no longer exist. Yesterday, however, I started a new game and had to abandon it because it crashed on the same date. 3 times I reloaded and 3 times it crashes on the same date. the game automatically sends a crash report to paradox with the data and the reason. It's frustrating, every time a new DLC comes out I see that many have problems. This time it happened to me too.

I'm pretty sure this is a game bug,I'm starting to see other game crashes in ntdll.dll too.
