That is my first Thread about the game a its stages now. I Played on 1.3 and 1.4. Was full of little bugs and I was playing with Sparta and Nervia. Almost more than ten years that I didn't play with Rome in any strategic game and these days I decided to play with Rome on Iron mode Normal, just to get the new updates on the road. And on my first few hours , I started my attempts of expand Rome, first eliminating the Italian nations like Erutria and other on north of Rome, than I march down to Syracuse to stop Carthagin futher steps on this territories. And I can say that the game is excellent in it stages, Carthagian declared war until now four time against me. They still has a up hand against me on the seas. After I got Syracuse territories I advanced a fast attack on Epirus so I could Stop Macedon on their expansion all the way and allied with Thrace and Sparta so I could handle Macedon, upon that I fought Macedon 3 times, they as Carthaginian has a up hand against me on the seas, but on land I can handle them. Thrace now seem be a more of threat than Macedon.
One of must exciting battle was when Civil War break out in Rome and at the same time Carthaginian declared war against me. Was a hard war, I had to handle the Civil War, Maritime wars, Celtics on the North and Carthaginians coming upon Syracuse land and upon the north Celtic land. At the final of this war I executed the traitors, they seemed to be allied with carthagianes. All this exciting war, I still didn't have the Marian Reforms and I just have one Legion divided on 2 or 3 corhors and some times I could get Mercenaries.
Now you can see how the game is now, I'm still developing some area so can produce more gold and became more civilized. I still miss I little of character interaction, I still don't know how espionage works so I can see how many manpower they still have or armies.
