I have a serious problem. Playing the danish version of EU my computer frequently crashes when I try to attack another country. In particular the Danes CANNOT attack the Hanseatic states or Sweden. It crashes every time! The spanish have problems attacking Granada, Aragon, and France too! Anyone have a solution to this catastrophe?!

Well, I have a 450mhz compaq with plenty (4 giga) of empty harddrive and running on windows 98. I usually play 4 months a second but I´ll try it slower and see what happens. I´ve had a cracked us version before I bought the game and although it crashed a few times too it was nowhere near as bad as it is now!

I think you should send a crash report to the Paradox stuff. I have had several crashed myself, but they came after I installed IGC. I hope they work a bit more on the stability on the game for EU II. Right now it is on -1. Risk for revolts are high and the incomes will be lower.

Not related to your problem, but I've often found the game crashes if you click on the little "historical info" button for new leaders.

Not a big loss to skip it, but frustrating when you want to see if Paradox's view of history conforms to your own ;-)

Other than that I occasionally see crashes if too much is happening at once, but that is rare (ie there are several things waiting for input response, but you don't answer them in order - things like peace proposals, loans due etc)

That´s right, I remeber once when I tried to look at the "historical info" and it crashed too. Never dared to try it again. By the way these crashes happen at the very beginning of the game - not a lot og things happening at once.
I´ll try the crash report, Galadriel. Tusen tack! (Har jeg stavet rigtigt? Jeg er fra Danmark.)

I think this is a 'confirmed' bug and will be patch in 1.10; I'm quite sure I saw this somewhere.

Reboot before playing - kill as many background programs as you can - make sure your hard drive is defragged - have up to date drivers for your video card etc. etc. Assuming you've done all this, it's probably just bad luck :D

Well, I tried to play at the slowest speed but with no succes. I have no background programs running, the video card is up to date, and I don´t know what should be wrong with my harddrive. Unlucky? Well, it sort of makes the game unplayable so you can say that again!:( Anyone else with a danish version? Anyone else have their game crash the same place everytime you try the same action? Sometimes you can just "do" something else, like changing your tax rate or initiating a royal marriage, before that action and everything´s alright, but not in this case. And anyway, what´s the fun if you´re limited in your possibile actions by a bug?! Guess I´ll have to try the EU staff.
