Yaay its back!!

Untitled-1-75.jpg

There we go, 14 brave countries!

Untitled-1-74.gif

The first session lasted from 36 to late 39, and a lot of stuff happened. Italy made Ethiopia a powerful puppet. The Spanish Civil War was brutally fought between 2 human players, eventually ending in a Nationalist victory late 36. Meanwhile in Asia, our human Japan actually got owned by the smart AI China! About 300k Japanese were encircled in the Guanxi pocket and after that millions of elite Chinese divisions started their counterattack to liberate Manchuria. However in Europe Germany was able to gain Austria and split Checkoslovakia with Hungary without much resistance. Yugoslavia was pressured to surrender a large part of her land to Italy and Hungary with the German blessing. War was extremely close with fascist Checkoslovakia, but Syrovy gave up in the last moment. Just after Manstein's tanks were ready to strike... The battle for Poland was over in a month with Germans destroying the entire Polish Army and Soviets marching to Eastern Poland. The Atlantic saw the first battles between the British destroyers and Dönitz's submarines. The Soviets declared war on Finland just before the session ended.

Here's a short series of pics of the SCW. All the great nations sent help, including France and the UK. The war began in July and ended around October, when the Republicans surrendered their last bunkers in Malaga...

ScreenSave1-14.gif

Italy decided to install a friendly government to Ethiopia and even surrendered them their cores. Addis Abada is now a mighty mountain fortress and will surely stop any invader.

ScreenSave29-8.gif

As a gift, Hitler received the Nobel peaceprize. AND A PRIVATE JET!!!

ScreenSave34-9.gif

Now the German Army has grown powerful enough. Time to get our claims! Who cares about the Nobel peaceprize, when you can gain MP and IC!

ScreenSave35-6.gif

Oh yea, China. Japan got stopped in the North, way before advancing to the river. In the South they made a brave landing. However the Nationalist masses stopped them and killed 25 divs of the best brigaded Japanese divs.

AA+_66_11+1

Japan will never recover. AI-Chiang has ordered an all-out counter offensive. To victory!

ScreenSave37-5.gif

Yugoslavia was pressured to surrender her land. They were promised Greek and Albanian holdings in return and a seat in the Axis Council.

ScreenSave43-11.gif

However the radical Checkoslovakians weren't as willing, even after losing their Sudetenland forts. Manstein and his tanks were already ready to strike the next morning. However during the last possible moment word was received that Surovy was going to spare his country from a war.

ScreenSave46-8.gif

Chiang's forces have recaptured the ancient city of Beijing. Chinese IC is starting to catch up the Japanese. Now the war is moving towards Manchuria. Suprisingly though, the Soviets haven't chosen to invade Manchuria during the border conflict, even with Japan ever so weak.

p319707638

Japanese forces are now dug in at the mountains of Manchuria. However their future doesn't look good...

6090

China on the other hand is growing in power every day.

ScreenSave48-6.gif

After finishing off Checkoslovakia, the Polish Campaign began on June 1st 1939. German stukas were supporting the 3 elite panzer divisions the Germans had. Hungary had also joined the Axis after receiving Slovakia, however they were ill-prepared for war.

ScreenSave49-9.gif

Also at the same time Denmark was invaded to secure the Baltic from Allied shipping.

ScreenSave51-5.gif

The Kriegsmarine faces it's first test. Raeder performs perfectly and the Danish naval threat has been eliminated. The Luftwaffe also test their naval bombers for the first time.

ScreenSave53-5.gif

Meanwhile the Poles have broken through the Hungarian lines. Model's elite division is sent to assist.

ScreenSave54-4.gif

However Manstein is the hero of the day. Saving the Hungarians with his legendary panzers.

ScreenSave56-5.gif

Unfortunately in the Atlantic, the British destroyers are able to win the first round. However Dönitz sunk plenty of convoys and a British destroyer.

Its a good thing that Surovy gave in when he did. Im not sure how the Germans would have fared against someone with an eyepatch!!

Part #2:

ScreenSave58-4.gif

Aye, nothing can stop Manstein.

ScreenSave61-2.gif

...Not even inferior Polish cavarly!

ScreenSave62-2.gif

The largest battle of the Polish Campaign is fought Blijesk. After the battle the last Polish armies have been destroyed. The Soviets sign the Molotov-Rippentrop pact and Eastern Poland is handed to the Soviets. Soon after the Soviet Union declares war on Finland. The Soviets except the summer campaign to be easy. Nothing could go wrong against a human Finland. Or could it?

surprise

German soldiers finishing off the last Polish positions.

The the good old TOP 12 is back as well! Germany and USSR are the dominating powers, while Italy is closing on to the UK (largely thanks to the German resources it has drained). Chiang is only 1 IC away from passing Japan, which never made it to Nanking. Hungary has grown suprisingly powerful with the early surrender of Slovakia and Yugoslavian cores.

lol @ human japan

it is great to have this AAR back

Yea, and I would have hated to fight them and risk a Polish dow at the same time, since Poland has a GoI Checkoslovakia.

Just subscribing, I hope I can join (as China maybe, if Japan is OK with that) next session.
Lol, we'll see. :D ...It's gonna be like my China vs Hatuke's Japan in that one game.

the great retourn of Storm-Delex duet!
All hail the binary powerhouse!
Delex drained all mah resources. He took like 5k energy from me a month. Just look at my resources in the screens... Anyway, I guess it's better to have a 140 IC Italy in the Axis than Allies. ;)

Why does UK have so little IC? Is India independent in EIR?
UK has been nerfed a bit in EIR and yes, India is independent. The Allies have fairly little manpower during the early war. But they will strenghten more around -42.

Fixed, and sorry about that. I wonder if the forum admins could set the pic limit from 32 to 20, so nobody would accidentally post too many pics. But alright, I'll keep a close watch on the pics from now on.

GMT is back?

May the gods help us all

-Vincent
Aye, it's back and better than ever!

lol @ human japan
Yea I feel sympathy for our Japan. Apparently he just had some back luck, coz no Japan can recover from losing 25 divs. I hope he took pics and would post in the AAR, coz that Chinese campaign looked damn exciting tho!

it is great to have this AAR back
Thanks! I hope those other guys will post their updates as well. Unfortunately yesterday some people didn't remember to take screens, but they promised to get a lot more pics next time. So hopefully we'll have a bit more diversity then.

@ Everyone else: Thanks for the support!

Nice game. Which version of WiF is this?
