I rushed through the streets of Copenhagen in the early dawn the sun had not even come above the horizon. The only people I meet were a few merchants setting up their shops and some fishermen.
Not that it came as a surprise fore me that we had declared war upon Sweden but I still think we should have waited a year more or two.
I came into the war cabinet’s chambers King Frederik IV was looking on a big map showing the Nordic region, to the left of him stood Admiral Christian Sehested. Frederik looked up when I came into the room and smiled me and said “good morning my dear general Nielsen” I could not help asking him what good there was to it? But he just grinned. Could you pleas inform the Admiral and me what our current military strength is at? Me “Phw military strength? Well ill tell you Jylland we have 7k/1K/0 man under the lt.general Christian Reventlow, and in and here at Sjælland, we have7k/1K/0 under General Christian Gyldenlöwe, and in the Østlandet we have Brigadier Holstein with only 1k/500/0, and by the way I suggest we promote him quickly, because his is the best commander we have, and then there is the fleet of course, under you Admiral at 8/0/4.” “And the Swedes?” Frederik asked, “I have no idea but properly they have twice as many soldiers who are better equipped and then there is of course the fact that they have cannons and we have none and no money to bye some for!” Frederik looked upon me and said” have you no faith in the chance of regaining Skaane?
Ha! I wonder what you think of your king and fellow generals!” “No no it’s not the faith in our generals and our soldiers guts I doubt” I sat down in a large chair “but I don’t helps much to have guts if they are ripped out by a cannon ball” Frederik nodded you right we better start colleting money or borrow them.
The meeting went on the entire day and it was decided that instead of sending the army in jylland to Copenhagen. We would send the army in Copenhagen to jylland to help defending our southern border from those traitors in Holstein.

The king orders Christian Sehested, to drive the enemy away.
Thomas Jaager stood on the deck of Norske löve (Norwegian lion), he was a line lieutenant and was in charge of the battery, on the top deck’s left side, when he looked to his right he could see the back of the ship in front of them, where floritille admiral Christensen were in charge. On his ship it made him proud, when he thought of it, the Admiral himself were in charge, he could actually see him, when he looked the left coming towards him, shouting orders in every direction. Just a little further out in the Oersund, the Swedish fleet lay waiting. He looked down the line of cannons, he had he Commanded, they were all ready to fire and spread death, but now they looked so peace full here in this cold, but sunny day. One hour later, it was all a big mess, he looked down his line and saw that he had lost 3 of the 10 cannons he commanded, there was blood on the deck, and some small fires had erupted, but his cannons still continued to give fire, he looked across the water on the Swedish ship facing them, how long would they continue the fight, they were badly beaten up, he could see that it would only be a matter of minutes, before the masan mast would brake. Why didn’t they surrender their colours? He could see that they were making moves to fire another broad side, and he took cover behind a cannon. He looked up and saw Christian Sehested walking calmly down the deck. And in the same second the Swedish ship fired the broad side, He disappeared in a storm of wood, fire and smoke. Thomas ran toward the place, where he saw the admiral disappear in the blast. A few meters away, he found him covered in blood. The general saw at him and said, “tell Christensen, that he is in command” and then he died. Thomas ran down the deck, to the signalman and ordered him to send the Admirals orders, and then rushed on, to find the Captain.
The battle turned out to be at total disaster for the Swedish navy, witch only managed to get away, with 2 transport ships. The Danish is at fleet 7/0/4
