Yes, I know it's only Alpha, but there are some interesting things here:

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=60497&d=1344610393

Most of them seem the usual from EU3 - prestige, stability, manpower, gold.

One big thing that's missing; infamy, just like Johan's hint.

The other interesting thing is the 3 figures on the country name roll. Administrative, Diplomatic and Military ratings of the nation?

Also note that there are 4 kinds of 'officials'. Merchants are gone since there are no COTs, but are the others the usual? One is definitely a missionary.

I like the look that you can maybe increase the number of officials beyond 5

Interesting, are merchants used for creating new trade routes or expanding ones you currently control then?

That seems a good bet.

So which of them is missing then I wonder? We can confirm 2 of them. That leaves diplomats, magistrates and spies. One has to go.

My guess is magistrates, since they were only ever a temporary solution to a problem.

i hope so, for a game that was so heavly advertised to me as beign a very realistic simulator of rennaisance trade, i thought the trading was very boring and not really worth it to get envolved in, that's not why i bought Eu3 though, i bought it for the same reason i bought V2, to see my countries name sprawled across europe, i sight i have still to see....

Wild stab in the dark: officials are gone, with the monarch's administrative-related traits taking their place.

Or else a CK/Sengoku system where you assign your Advisors to building things and various other specific tasks.

It seems to me that the ruler's abilities won't be anymore 3 to 9, but 30 to 90.

With any luck they'll be 1-99.

The whole 3-9 thing was arbitary and silly.
