As i understand from reading various books on the templar knights and the Johanniterorder they were virtually immune to surrendering or giving up. So I wondered whether the morale of their soldiers should be much higher than others?
And perhaps the tech level is too low?

Anyone looked deeper into the Knights?

Uhm yes :). But also some other material on the topic.

They were the panzers of the middle ages :).

I think it has to do with game balance. They are not supposed to become a great power, and with a too high morale they easily would (at least if I played them ;) ). Johanniterorder is called Knights of St. John in Enlglish, I think.

I figured it would be something like that. Johaniterordern seems to be the same in German though.

Would be cool to surprise the big powers hehe :).

Well ,what I've heard, is that the Teutonic Order according to history is at least a powerful, and has a killer of morale...
