The Last Great Conflict
A Free For All AAR​

This is extremely strange AAR. Inspired by the various MP AARs (special mention goes to Democracy's Last Legs), but not having time to play MP, I decided to do this.
Every single nation in the game is at war with each other - except Switzerland. I will be playing as them, observing what great nations remain. At some point, when the time comes, I'll switch to one of these great nations and see what happens.

The game starts in 1936.
Note that my editing might cause some strange bugs, since I just copied all nations' tags as defenders AND attackers so they're fighting along others against others.
Some nations' sliders are changed.
Every nation's armies are removed.

Anyway, I expect to see some toughest-survives action, I hope you will enjoy. I will post the first update a bit later, I'll first see if any problems are found and play the update.

Oh, and if anyone's interested, I can later post the scenario.

First let's see how it runs.
Anyway, because of this, the game lags in '36 just about as much as vanilla does in '43. Doesn't matter, though.

What do you guys think, should I make policies a bit more radical too? Like turning Germany to start as democratic, France as Communist, USA as Fascist... would make things even more better.

remove all armies/navies/airforce and place their policies "in the middle" on everyone that would be fun and the lag wouldnt be a beast until later

Meh, I think I won't change the sliders for anyone except for few like SU, GER and the USA.
This is the final decision. SU becomes fascist nation with middle in democracy/authoritanian. Germany becomes a democratic, with no left or right alignments. USA becomes an authoritanian communist nation.

Why not remove military too? its a bit unbalanced because its sure the minor nations will be owned instantly...

Its a good idea tho making policies more radical.

But I still think that minors will be owned at the time the bigger nations get their first waves of armies...
Of course it's possible that some of the minors far away from majors (South America?) have time to conquer more provinces and become a superpower.
E: Nnnnggghhh, I'd so like to give Finland the only armies in the world ... but I have to resist it.

Yup, or you could split the major nations up a bit but it would take a while

I've got an idea - an event firing only for majors, reducing IC effeciency by some number. What would be good? -25%?

Yes, as soon as I've run a test game. Already I noticed that I need to get rid of the unified front for Nat. China, it makes peace with everyone for ComChina.

First update time.

So as you can see, there are no units on the map:

And also, the entire world is at war. Let's see Luxemburg's diplomatic map mode:

Same goes with every nation. Switzerland is observing the situation.
Nothing will probably happen during the next few months, so I'll update soon again. This is just an overview.

Another update today.
The first months went normally, until in March, first divisions appeared in several locations. These are all militia, which explains the fast construction speed.

Czechoslovakia was the most aggressive. With 3 (!!!) militia divisions, they quickly break into the German lines, conquering massive amounts of territory. In addition, small conflict is going on between the Netherlands and Belgium.
By the end of March, Netherlands' troops are encircled and Belgium is taking the upper hand. Czechoslovakia seems to have a lot of potential, but Hungary is making their attack into Czechoslovakia.

This game is going to be fun, I'm sure of it.

Final update for today.
The first nation to taste annexation was Luxemburg. She was shortly followed by Yemen and Uruguay.
Czechoslovakia has almost taken all of Germany, but it looks like they don't want Berlin:

A major event happens in May. Austria is annexed, and the forces of Hungary and Italy start fighting against each others.

And here's Europe and the Middle East in June 1936.

Soviet Union has 31 divisions coming, soon they'll crush everything.
Nothing has happened in the USA yet. China, however, is being crushed:
