Are much, much better.

It's crazy how much of a difference a clean interface with better visibility can change a player's perspective.
Personally, I used to simply ignore them, now all my courts are filling all of those positions whenever I can afford them.

I really really like all the new functions they can perform. +20% lifestyle experience from just a doctor and tutor, yes plz. Having the wet nurse force the kids to play nice and make friends is very helpful for preventing succession wars too. Just lots of nice new options to take advantage of.

Also, being able to turn the advanced functions on and off without having to fire the courtier is great for lean times.
