I wonder, if the next patch will be able to somehow incorporate the method of "vassals as allies" used by tribes in charlamagne, rather than the currently used method. By this I mean, that vassals stay as vassals during war.

I ask because, while I love the AGOT mod, the "vassals as allies" system is horrendously buggy, and it can get frustrating pushing for high crown authority just to avoid bugs.

I recognize that it might not be possible, but it would be awesome if it would.

Vassal allies work for tribal realm. Tribal realm after becomes feudal lost this feature(?)
In fact megawar system is feudal version of tribal vassal allies:D

IMO possible is make Iron Isles tribal. That makes ironborn more powerful, I think, and give some flawor

Of coure I don't know how modable Charlemane and new patch are, so...

I figure that it would not be possible to separate the tribal mechanics from the "vassals as allies" mechanics, but then I'm not up to scratch with coding.

The difference would be that the vassals would still remain part of your realm during the war, instead of splitting off. The splitting off causes numerous problems, and is the only negative thing about this mod. So, if it were possible to keep the vassals in the realm (as per tribes), that would be great.

Another issue would be those that are fighting their liege would then likely start attacking provinces which declared neutrality instead of those who are outright hostile.
