The ocupation and pease

Hi gues. Did not found this in the faq so i wonted to ask:
1. Who gets the province controll after the siege?
2. how fast the liege offers pease to fully ocupied enemy?

The situation is. I am Brandenburg and i Dow pagans(or what are thay?) near me.
So i defeat tham, begin sieges, but the imperial forses arrive, get controll over siege and grab provinces for thamseles

How can i avoid that?

Are you playing CK or also the expansion DV?

If I remember correctly, in CK, the guy with the highest rank takes control of the siege. So if your liege comes in with his royal regiment, then he takes over the siege. In DV, it is the one who started the siege who controls it. So in DV, if your forces have started the siege, you will control it, even if your liege comes in later. The only time that does not apply, is if you start the siege with an army with no leader, then the next one to come in takes over the siege.
