This will be my second AAR. I have high hopes for it because my first one failed terribly. The game starts in 1936 and I control Argentina. My goals as of now are to unite south america either by force or peacefully. I think I will goin the allies if they let me join. With thier help my homeland will be safe from hostile forces. Other than that I can only tell you I expect to write my first entry this weeked. Suggestions on how to win are accepted :rofl:
 
You should disable the US spheres of influence events.
Not that you can't sue for peace with them after dowing while they are neutral but if both of you belong to the same alliance and you DoW an American nation, you'll get dowed by your ally (US) and the game will crash.
Good luck, I've never seen a completed Argentinean AAr... :rolleyes:
 
I always thought that Argentina was more Fascist and inclined toward Germany than any one else. ;) Ou Eah, its your AAR, and i await your 1st post. :)
 
1936 Global Tremors

I will get right to the point my goal is to by 1940 have all of south america under my control. I start the game with a mere seven divisions, but order two more very early in January. I have decided that technology will have to be forgotten untill I demolish my weak neighbors. Trade on the world market is slow but needed if I want to accomplish my ultimate goal. Industry is expanding fast and will be ready in Jenuary of 1937.

My army will be the most important branch of my armed forces at least in the early years. Therefor the meager amount of idustrial output invested into reasearch goes into discovering Early Gear. Seven divisions may not seem like much, but it's giant in comparison with my neighbors (with the exception of Brazil.) With good leaders and one fighter divion it seems as though I am ready for a small war.

The target of the first war is Chile. It looks as though I will have only four divisons to contend with and them it will be just a matter of taking provinces. The main reason for this war is take Chile's islands in the pacific they will make great ports latter in the game. Well anyway the war began on Febuary 2 1936 with a march towards Chile's army. The army is promptly destroyed and Chile's capital taken. The war's outcome is clear and all I have to do is march down the coast to obtain a few provinces. Chile is annexed on May 29 1936 hopefully the first of many countries to join my empire.

You would think that I would be satisfied at this point but with two new infantry divisions and my first tank division on the way I want more war.
Feeding my craving for war I attack Paraguay on September 7 1938, and annex it on October 22 1936. a mainly uneventfull war with only one battle which I won of course.

I figure I will end the year with adding Uruguay to my growing empire. They are attacked on November 1 1936 and are annexed on November 22 1936. Wow, that was a quick war.

With quite a bit added to Argentina I finish off the year peacefully waiting for my industry to improve. I have during the course of the wars created 5 new divisions and discovered early gears, and engines.

In foreign affairs Germany is demanding territory from Ausria and France is building up its army. I eagerly await the start of the war so I can see some action. I am still undecided on which side to join. I believe I will go with who ever offers first.


Some advise should I attack Brazil or Peru next :rofl:
 
Any screenies going to be in this AAR?
 
1937 More Expansion

In January of 1937 Argentina's industry improves considerably and plans for more expansion are set in place. I am excpetionaly happy that I can invest 16 industrial output into tech and 20 into creating new units. Four new infantry divisions are planned and another tank division is well on its way.

Peru with its small supply of oil is my next decided target. The war begins on March 2 1937. I sone engage the forces they have guarding thier border which is actualy their entrie army. They are beaten and retreat to their capital were yet agian they are thrashed. With the capital taken Peru is annexed on May 7 1937. A Good addition to my empire but still not enough.

I have decided that Ecuador will have the privlige of joining my realm next. They are attacked on June 1 1937. Their tiny army of one division is engaged soon after and demolished by my 15 divisions. The rest of their provences are taken, and Ecudor joins my growing empire on July 8 1937.

Bolivia posed an interesting challenge at this point. they had spread out their army along their borders with me and Brazil. Untill this point I had kept my army in ane group, but now I was forced to split it into two pieces. With no further worries about the wars out come I attacked on October 3 1937. Despite my early worries about the wars out come Boliva takes the award as the fastest country to be annexed. They are incorperated into my realm on October 15 1937.

The year is almost over and I can not launch any more wars for a few months. I begin to move my forces north towards my border with Columbia. I am very happy when my plan to destroy Brazil starts to become real. The idea is to put 5 infantry divisions. 1 calvery divison, and one Tank division in each provence that borders Brazil. My stronges army will be in the very south to make the push into Rio. While the other army groups sweap through the country. If all goes well I expect to launch my blitz in eary 1940.

Elsewhere Austria caved to Germany's demands and The Germans have by far the largest army in Europe. I fear for France, but it seem that hallf way around the world I can do little to help. Still no offers to join an alliance. :rofl:

What did you do with the Monroe Doctrine? Did you deactivated it or sued for peace every time?
Aren't you having problems running your economy with the raw materials deficit Argentina has?
Are you planning to annex or to puppet Brazil because of that?

I believe that by 37' or 38' they get a mass combat minister that should be useful.

Hmmm... okay. Its a deal. Now will these be stick-figure-first-grader-illustrations, Picasso-style-high-on-acid-illustrations, or like wow-I-cant-believe-that-isnt-a-photograph-illustrations??
 
Great comments. Let me start by saying that the main reason for my expanison is to improve thr amount of raw materials I have stockpiled. Second, I have not been including info about my trade on the world market. I had a feeling that it would not make very good reading.

I might be able to get one more update in this weekend if I am lucky. :rofl:
 
1938 Global War Begins

As my title states the main fereign affiar to note is that Germany is now at war with the allies. They have made a strong strike into France and at this piont are faced by almost to enemy forces. It is sad to say, but my bet is that France will be out of the war by January of 1939.

In my empire things are going well. The economy is hard to control, but is more or less stable. Four new divisions are on the way and by early January my farces are in place to attack Columbia. That is exactly what I did on January 8 1938. My forces sweap nroth easily taking care of all enemy forces. Columbian calvery forces are able to sneak by my armies and capture a provence. This is taking care of quick, but it prolongs the war a bit. Despite the problem Columbia joins my empire on April 11 1938.

In a good mood I declare war on Venezuela the same day. Venezulea's armed forces are along its border with Brazil and offer little resistance. Therefor the war is concluded fast and Venezuela, and its oil fields :) join my country on April 24 1938.

This puts me in a hard situation. The only other things left to take are Brazil and a few allied possessions. I throw my unit production into full force and by November I have an army that rivals Brazil's. As large as this is it is still not enough. I plan to triple or at least double my army size before attacking. With my reasonable level of industry I am able to invest quite a bit into tech. My goal is to be a few levels of tank tech higher than Brazil. Then I will blast holes in my rivals defense with my tanks and have hordes of infantry back the armor up.

Good new my first new ship is built today. While it would stand no chance aganist the royal navy it's a start.

My next update my take a while as I plan to be done with Brazil when I write it up. Who knows perhaps it will take a few months, or the more likely outcome it wil be a long annoying war. :p
 
I am surprised USA hasn´t DOW:ed you yet, which version are you using?
 
You know now that you mention it the USA has been kind of quite I must kept an eye them for the rest of the game. I have a bit of a weird game planned once Brazil is gone, but I am not sure how it will work out. One thing is for sure if it works I will have a huge idustry sector. :rofl:
 
It is sad to say that France is as good as dead. The country lasted until February of 1939. Vichy France has been put in place and Germany is bashing back the Soviets DAMN IT! Well the balken countries are on the axis side and Japan is almost through chewing up China.

This is the longest time I have ever been at peace and it is horrid. With no war to keep my mind on I have noticed just how bad my economy is in reality. I take steps to fix this but progress is slow and I hate slow. My military forces are starting to take their places along the Brazilian border. I think with some luck Brazil will die by the end of 1940.

I can't do much during the summer months while my units are being made. While waiting I notice that Italy has only to take Egypt before it is the sole master of North Africa. In August Japan deals the death blow to China (both of them.)

Let me skip to November. This is were it gets interesting. My army is as large it will get without crippling my economy. Therefore I declare war on Brazil on November 9 1939. Twenty divisions under my must skilled leader blast north from their position along the Atlantic coast towards Rio. While the main action in the south is going on groups of six divisions each are slowly marching through Brazil's dense forests. Brazil's army as expected is completely beaten by more superior tanks. I would say that the AI made one mistake that cost it the game in this war. Instead of breaking up its army along its border it clumped everything it had in one place to try and block the main strike to Rio. This was a move I was prepared for in every possible way. When the day of battle came my forces outnumbered theirs 2 to 1). The battle was a close one even with the number advantages. I must say that Brazil had a level of tech that I was not prepared for I simply overran them. A few minor gains in the northern front are made and the year ends with a push towards the interior of the vast jungles. :rofl:
 
After a few months blasting through the forests of Brazil the country was on the verge of collapse. The main strike to Rio has been a total success with the entire Atlantic coast is under my control by May of 1940, and by July enough of the country had been captured to perform a formal annexation. Thus, on July 21 1940 Brazil joins the empire of Argentina.

My goal was to capture all of South America by 1940. I would say I completed this with a moderate amount of success. Now, I had to make a choice. Any of the alliances would really accept me if I asked, and it was apparent that I needed international help. I joined the allies soon after and settled on a new goal. It is to capture all of the Americas by the games end.

Now, I assume that you know what this means and in preparation I begin to build up my navy. I put my forces on my border with the USA, and declare war on September 9 1940. The small garrison in that province is destroyed and I decide to start my push north. I declare war on Panama on November 21 1940. and they are annexed on December 7 1940.

Many people at this point would ask if I am crazy. Why declare war on the USA. The answer is for 69534862kicks and a challenge. I mean lets face it will be a hard task to kill this country, and I wanted to see how I could do. I think that the main attack will come from the USA's south flank. I will bring three large armies up through Mexico and fan out across the county. At the same time I will try to launch an assault on D.C, and hopefully take their seat of power. Well I have to play out the game.

P.S. I am sorry about the short post, but I have two AARs going on right now and this one is getting the short end of the stick. The other AAR is more in depth with one of those plot things in it.
