I was wondering, how can one trigger the Red Wedding?

I can't seem to start it without it crashing when I select someone to play...

I don't think you can, which is weird considering it's one of the biggest events in the series.

I think they've removed it in parallel to the levies being no longer raised.

The next vanilla version (when the infamous levy bug gets patched) should however fix that situation, with the AI no longer unable to take on pre-raised levies I believe. So maybe the devs should consider reintroducing the original wartime start dates setup in the near future.

That's true, but the Clash of Kings bookmark has events for Renly's assassination, Aegon's invasion, and even Tywin melting down Ice into Widow's Wail and Oathkeeper, so it's a pretty glaring absence.
