James Paterson sat at his desk,reading from one of several letters, his eyes unhappy. "Lois, I dont know which is worse, the senate refuseing to join the war in anyway, or the thought of the CSA trying to be reformed...if we can do it peacefuly..."
"I dont know James, sometimes its scary to think of....but sometimes,when I think of whats happening in Europe and us not doing anything...in the 1800s we were wrong...I think now, in the 1900s...The CSA is all the hope that we have...maybe all the hope the world has."
He just sat and read as she left,but then he picked up the phone to call the press, the world was going to change today, for good...or ill.

A few hours later, in front of the senate house of Charlotte, James Paterson meet with the press.

"Gentlemen today is a day that will live in our minds,all the minds of the world, forever more. Today we have come to announce the formation of the Confederate States of America. We have spoken to DC. With the help of our allies, the Uk,Canada, and France we have negotiated ourselves away from the union peacefuly. I will be the interm president until the elections, which will be held in two years time. I would also like to announce our complete upturn in manufactioring on all things military,to be exported to our allies Europe,to help them prepare for war on their front. On our front, we have 6000 men from the army who will remain with us. We also have several hundred tanks,which were not yet done being built when we declared indepence. Thankyou gentleman, and welcome to the CSA!

:two weeks later,in a meeting with the head of the military:

"Are you sure this is wise Richard? I dont know if the US would want us to use their soil as a launching ground to attack there neighbors to the south...we dont have a shared border with Mexico, much less a reason to justify attacking them!"
"But ofcoarse we have a reason to attack them! We have devoted ourselves to supplying our allies in Europe with supplies until our military is up to par, but to do that,we need practice, and we must have resources! We cant attack the US, and we dont have the ships yet to attack the islands to our south, so that only leaves Mexico,central america,and south america."
"well ofcoarse Mexico is prefarable to attacking all those countries in central and south Amer...."
"No James,we are going to attack them all...one after the other. If we are to meet our deadlines,we much have all of south and central america, and mexico in no less then 3 year. The only reason our undertrained military can do that,is becouse we have numerical superiority,tech superiority, and we know we are attacking, then dont!"
"if we really must...but all those people killed...."
"James, wake up! We declared indepence to enter a war, and to win that war we must be vicious!"
 
It Begins

It was a rainy day, I can still see the men, battalion after battalion. They would march on Mexico,but right now, they camped on Mexicos northern border. Our intelligence said Mexico had no troops north of the capital,and only 200 men there. I watched them march away, knowing that in a few days the world would learn what had happened, our own people would learn what had happened. It would make history for several reasons...we had been an independent country for less then a month,and we would conqure an established country...but history would remember it as the stepping ladder for what would become the first attack that would unite the americas under three countries, two of which were allies. I remember that day, as I remember rideing through Mexico 4 days later to accept the treaty that made Mexico cease to be and expanded the CSA for the first time, but not the last...not the last at all. I quickly past the reforms that would allow these conqured people to vote once they learned to speak english, I diverted resources to building roads,industries,schools,and homes. Some wlcomed us, some hated us, but we gave none of them a chance. Central America fell so quickly that the only country whos surrender I accepted was Panamas, and then only becouse the President of the USA was there to watch and to glare at me as he gave his hidden threats that the canal was still his. It took us two months to take all of Mexico and central America. Four more months would see South America,hollowed out,only four contires remaining. The CSA, Great Britain, France, Netherlands,us three of the four allies against the world. Then there was Brazil...Brazil was a nut that I thought we would never crack,we didnt lose many men, I think the final count was 400 or so,everywhere but Brazil. In Brazil we made up for it...1200 men fought to there death in that endless jungle, sickness killed more then a few. It took us six months to take every country south of us except Brazil, we spent a year fighting Brazil. They knew the jungles like a man knows his wife...and they used them against us like any other weapon. We entered Brazil in january of '37...we accepted their treaty of surrender on christmas of that same year. We had lost 1600 men,but we had united central and south america to southern north america. We,who had been independent for just a tad over a year, well...we had become the second biggest country in the world. Yes I remember those first years, when everything seemed so simple,so easy. We would help destroy facist and communist countries everywhere.Then it happened, so fast we didnt understand until it was to late. Spain had a revolution and joined the Axis powers,Italy,japan,and austria all joined in a matter of weeks, and just that quickly Germanys slow expansion west to meet France didnt matter at all when France no longer existed,except for one small colony in south america. Italy attack from theb south east,spain from the south west,and germany from the East. It took Germany two weeks to take Paris,and then install a fake governemtn out of Vichy. France was as useless as an ally now as a dead cat on ocean. It was febuary of '38 and we had to go to war. We had a technological edge on everyone,but we had few troops,to many had been givein to other countries. Yes, Mexico was forgotten by everyone but me, but history would remember them as the first battle that was coated in blood, treachery, and at the end...betrayl.
 
Great! But, wouldent it be more appropriate if you started out in a civil war with the us?

Any way its still a great aar. :D

One last question, did you mod it your self? I would like to find out how to do something similar...
 
Sure

I did a peaceful civil war with the US becouse I only started my CSA with 4 infantry units,lol,wasnt up to doing that big a splash,war will come with the US. I did it myself,its a basuc job,i got the flags from one of the hoi sites posted,cant remember which. Yup,it was pretty easy,once i figured out what stupid mistakes i did. Ofcoarse I use US leaders who were historicly from the south at that time,and my president was a newsreporter who had urged the US to enter the war much earlier then it realy did,but i figured he deserved a better role then that. I can give ya a few basic details on doing it,but realy i just printed Bolts thread from the scenario and modification forum titled "How do i make a country?" and followed what it said step by step. Im real good at following instructions,lol

(first off im sorry bout my many typos,lol,but i will finish this first half and more if you guys want,if its just a bad attempt tell me,lol. thanks for reading guys)

I sat in my office, reading the newspaper whos heading resounded in my head like a hammer on steel. 10000 Confederate troops massacared by the combined might of Italy and Austria in West Africa. I would remember those words for the rest of my life...no matter that we took all of south Africa,all of Central africa,those northern most four counties had held firm,and destroyed our spearhead into Africa like they were nothing. It didnt matter that we had left troops to defend our new border, or that those troops held. It didnt even really matter that eight-thousand of the men hadnt even been ours. What mattered was that they had destroyed the thired largest allied army in the world. The defeat overall wasnt bad...they were mainly malitia, the spear that allowed the better trained units to finish training...but the boost to the axis moral...the blow to the spirits of our men in the field would be felt the world over. I remember thinking it couldnt get worse and I think that maybe if I had known what would happen before I agreed to the declaration of Independence, I wouldnt have allowed it. But I hadnt, and it did get worse, very much so...and the very next day was the start of it all. In a news article released by the president of the USA, we learned that japan had taken all of Englands UK holdings, they had infact learned before even the UK was sure of its fall. From that very same article,we learned that communist China,mongolia,and Even Mighty Russia had been laid low by Japan and Germany. It wasnt use again the axis and communist anymore,becose communism was a thing of the past...It was use against the largest, best trained alliance in history. Germany no longer had to deal with us as equals...she could lose us in her vast arms. In a hasty agreement with the US we set out to take Russia from germany. We took the south,and they the north,only at the last minute did I get word, and even then I didnt understand until to late. Where we went the people cheered, but our pilotes noticed no cheering for the union, and they seemed to move so fast that they didnt bother to raise there flag. That didnt concern me overmuch until I learned that they were curveing south...and Japan was steadily heading west...straight at us! To late that day did I understand, I waited, and cried as our sons were destroyed by the Axis powers. The allies had wondered where the Axis managed to get such an improved tech base so fast,we neednt wonder anymore. July 4, 1942 The USA declared war on the CSA, they had lured us into a trap,and we only barely held off there attack on us in north America. The day President Rossevelt of the USA announced that they were part of the Axis of Power, on whos shulders rested the salvation of the world I cried for what we had become, and in those tears true war had begun
 
What!?!?! lol that is alittle far fetched, did the US have the event where the democratic gov is overthrown and they get to choose between Comunism and Socialism?

Now, I know that if that situation was real, the US would want to get the rest of amarica back, but I really dont think they would join the axis, afterall, werent they at war with germany?

But still, its a good AAR, keep it up!;)
 
Im not sure if they had the event

Im thinking it had something to do with me and canada trying to overthrow there govt,and i think they just ment to declare war on Canada,sence thats the declaration,but as Canada is part of the allies,it was against us all.Nope they werent at war with germany,they had been neutrol. I know several times Germany influenced the US,but not sure yet what caused the declaration. When my army got hit by US army,they were sitting in russia,and i just assumed they were at war with germany,didnt think to check,and i dont pay attention to most pop ups. I added the part about them going north and south,cause i did take south russia,and they were sitting in northern russia,lol. Just didnt start moveing at the same time. I learned to pay attention to the border lines though!lol
 
Yup

sure do,I didnt alter many things,and all the generals are USAs,without pics. But I have been trying to work out a big flaw which is why no update. If I attack the US mainland i get a defeat and a victory update when i win or lose,one saying csa/usa beat usa/csa beating csa, and one saying csa/usa lost to the csa/usa.
And I also cant take possesion of new york,i can take possesion of everything else around it,and every other state i have taken,just not that one,and usa seems to be unable to take miami. Before I send anyone anything i gotta fix this,lol,cause it aint fun haveing them constantly building troops in a place you have invaded and defeated them for!

to save a pic you hit the F11 key. Its saved in the HOI folder. You should be able just upload it. As soon as you get the bugs worked out I'd love to see some pics. :D

ok,i have a solution,but not a viable ome for my CSAs desire for an American Empire. I nuked newyork to see if i could take it when us has no troops and i managed to lose 500 men to an army that doesnt exist. My solution was to make all S troops loyal to Germany. I still cant take new york,but germany can take miami. Also Germany,who is loseing to france in europe,seems to have no limit to the troops the have in NA. I think they are useing the industy and manpower of the CSA and the USA to train trrops in newyork,as thats the only land in na they control by water,and its blockaded. If they built planes or tanks i couldnt handle them, Canada isnt handleing them at all,as they only have 2 or 3 provinces left. I cant support the ammount of troops germany has,and there industry is only 300,mine is just shy of 1100. I think I need to go through all my generals and make sure none say us anywhere

Ok I have a solution. But heres the thing, with my solution, it is best to take us after you have wiped out everyone else,cause when they train troops,some will rebel and go over to your side,ofcoarse ships never seem to. what all do i need to post for you to use my country?
 
I would think that you should put all the files that you altered or added into a zip or rar file and upload it to paradox or to one of the many free host websites, I dont remember any at the moment but im sure that there are many who could direct you to some.

You could also ask Bismark or Generalissimo to host it also..

As always make sure no virus make it onto the zip :rolleyes:
 
How does your confederate cabinat stack up? I don't suppose you gave the Presidency to Richard Russle by any chance. *laughs* I can just see THIS gutting the Democratic party in the USA :p

ok,ill post what i did so far,so peeps who want a CSA mod can have it,all you will have to do is copy the info and do it up,but I can not gety the leader file to load with it,so you wont have any....tell me if you want what i got,also,i cant send the flag,unless you want me to email it to ya
