The Targaryen experience

So being kind of a fan of House Targaryen,I decided to give it a shot and try reclaiming the realm as Aegon the 6th

-After a few miserable attempts where,even after somehow defeating Stannis, the doomstacks of the Iron Throne would simply steamroll over my army, I finally managed to get my hands on the throne
-All the wars are won,the realm stands as one, Aegon is recognized as Rhaegar's son,everyone is happy...
-Manage to marry Daenerys (maternally but whatever) the two fall in love,she even gives Aegon one of her dragons !!!
-Few months later,Danny declares a reclamation war against her husband who is a valid member of her dynasty and even her lover,whom she even gifted one of her dragons!



-She lands in Westeros,all of the other lords are on Aegon's side,huge army,epic battle...suddenly the dragon rider event pops in,suddenly 3 times...each time I get the upper hand...finally the fourth time Aegon dies... of course he does...

-Daenerys of course inherits everything,along with the kingdom of Meereen (of which I just couldn't get rid of)

- Trying to control my anger with the situation, until she receives an event of depression over her loved Aegon... *rage quit*

House Targaryen,I quit.

If you don't mind savescuming you can sit at a save around before her last liberation war ends, part of the time Dany might chose to make the Ghiscari Empire over reclaiming Westeros.

There needs to be an alternative branch for Danys event chain at the end if Aegon has the Throne.

Well yeah. It's her,now in love with Jorah Mormont,but there is no chance I will continue playing as her...after all she did.

Especially if they get married,which seems like a decision most people would take if playing as Aegon

Well concerning how well it went as playing Aegon,I might do that...just this once

IF dany is consistently invading your throne during an Aegon playthrough, make sure to divorce her while the high septon isn't independent due to a megawar or somesuch, that way you can keep the dragon and not put up with Widowed penaltys.

Since you're a fan of the House, try playing as Egg. The War of the Ninepenny Kings. Canonically, he died soon after the rebellion at Summerhall. I haven't seen the scenario in-game, but might try it.

Or wait: Play as Rhaegar himself. Any date in 8280. The various Lord Paramounts are ready to revolt, and you can pretty much gain the Iron Throne without lifting a finger.
