In a couple of games I've noticed the Spanish (don't know if it has to be them) have started a colony in Ute which is in the Western USA (by today's geography) but certainly nowhere near a coast and not connected to any other of their colonies. Just wondered if this had been picked up on before. A bit annoying as by the time I've noticed it they've branched out from there into three or four other provinces.
NB a separate problem in my current game is that Ute is currently controlled by natives and just to check, is there no other way of taking this over other than war with Spain? There doesn't seem a way for the Spanish to get there as it's surrounded by my colonies.
