This is a project currently in the works by me and Hardradi, and is aimed at trying to recreate the turbulent Diadochi period. We are adding another 37 years of gameplay and history data, back to 437, when Eumenes and Antigonus began to get to grips with eachother in the East. The starting date is still subject to change though, but the First Diadoch War will be bypassed atleast for now because it is so hard to deal with it in a sensible way.

Along with heaps of characters, some countries and a couple of provinces, we are adding eventchains that will expand upon the dynastical struggles currently in the game, were unruly siblings will be very prone to stirr up trouble and the ancient Argead dynasty will be all too powerful to neglect. Rebuking heirs not up to the job will become a possibility, but could aswell lead to devastating civil wars or invasions from outside forces willing to support the former heir.

The foundation of the mod is more or less complete, but still don't expect this to be done anytime soon. Work will progress slowly and everything have to be working once we release it.

Anyhow, a small teaser of what actually is done, featuring the Eastern Mediterranean just after the Fourth Diadoch War has been concluded following the battle of Ipsus:

Sounds great! I love the thought of playing around with the Diadochi, they're such a nice bunch of lads. I appreciate the addition of Argos, too. :D
Not only will this mod offer an interesting opportunity to play out the Diadochi wars, it will also offer a more balanced starting situation for the small countries in the Middle East. Choosing Armenia in 437 appears a little less suicidal when the yellow blob is smaller. Anyway, I look very much forward to see your event chains in action. Good luck!

Nice! One of the reasons I started to make a new map of cause of the Diadochi period .
but looks like you guy beat me to it:) I'm really looking forward to playing this when it released.
