I have just got Europa Universalis for my birthday...:) But when I play the game I can see the first movie... and then the game crashes :( I know I have to have something like... Windows Socket or something like that installed... The installation file is called "WS2Setup.exe"... but I get the error-message:

WS2SETUP begin: 07/27/2001 17:13:09
RegQueryValueEx(VendorInstallDll) failed
VendorWantsMSTCP=1, WantsMSIPX=2, WantsSetupUI=1
WantsMSDNS=1, WantsMSSAP=0
New wsock32.dll file version: 0004000a.00000678
ERROR: unsupported Windows9X version (4,10), canceling setup
WS2SETUP end: failure

What should I do... please help my, 'cause my game will not run!!!

I uses a perfectly normal Windows 98...

As you are using Windows 98 you do *not* need to run the WSSetup. That is for Window 95 users.

If it is crashing after the intro movie then it is either (usually) the screen resolution or the sound.

EU only runs in 800 x 600 are you trying to force it to another resolution?

To save me retyping everything might I suggest that you go to the "Support" forum and read the thread entitled "Running Problems".
I suggest that you start from item 6.

Please let us know if you still have problems.
