The Zerg have long terrorized the galaxies. The races of the cosmos have long feared the arrival of the swarms and the Zerg hive clusters have rarely been greeted with joy. That said not all Zerg are the same. Long ago a tribe of Zerg left familiar territory and set out into unknown reaches of the cosmos. Lead by a peaceful if shrewd series of queens this beta hive endeavored to start a new life for the Zerg species. Over the eons the Drones, Zerglings and Hydralisks developed into intelligent citizens under the stern rule of the Overlords.
Eventually settling deep in an uncharted galaxy the Zerg set off to create a collective empire. Renaming the landing site Zerus and then Primary Hive the Zerg hoped to create a prosperous collective. But unlike the original Zerg this collective would be open to all species and all races that sought refugee in the Zerg Hatcheries!
