Thought I'd share my current colony's events so far. Running as India with psychologist with long ride (rockets take a rather long time to travel between Mars and Earth). Things seemed good to start. Got the initial founder stage out of the way quickly with 2 small connected domes next to an average rare metal deposit. Running mostly wind farms for power and vaporators for water. Rockets are on their way back with the first hauls, which is important as I'm running lowish on advanced materials. Primarily machine parts.

Now already I'm using heavy workload in a few spots and night working everywhere. Extra sanity is super useful. Then a dust storm warning hits. 3 hours later a meteor storm warning hits. All good. Most storms miss anyway.

This storm didn't miss. Meteors get some really good shots in, plus dust storm, plus low supplies? Just about everything stops working. Maybe 10ish power going for the entire colony. Water's gone, no electricity, no oxygen. It's very surprising how long colonists can last really.

Thankfully I had the safe mode breakthrough. No craziness allowed here just because the colony's falling apart. Craziness over, time for the colony to get better right? Next breakthrough is rapid sleep. Everyone gets to work the night shift now and day shifts get heavy workloads. I figure the infirmaries can take care of the health losses. Should be ok.

That's where I'm at now at least. Even go to save and a random meteor out of nowhere is aimed right for my RC commander. This poor colony.

Really do feel like the evil CEO/manager for this run. Get another incoming dust storm. Totally fine. I've got electronics, food, and plenty of machine parts in stock. Not worried. Forgot that it comes with a lot of leaks now too. Should be ok. Things will be fine when they run out of water. They should be used to it by now.

Low on oxygen too huh? Woops. Really should have built more storage I suppose. Still fine. Hold it in guys, that oxygen's valuable now apparently. Storm's almost over and we'll be able to start the MOXIEs up again.

Dust storm ends. Still complaining about no oxygen. Huh? Oh. There's one leak there at the end. Needs 1 metal to repair.

There's no metal in the stockpiles. I'll grab the transport rover...on the other side of the map. ... People do apparently need water and oxygen to survive. Surprisingly not everyone died. Only lost like 13 colonists with 12 going home. The weak die and the strong survive or something.

Did you know there's an informative event that displays if you lose a lot of colonists? I didn't. Never saw it before. I'm sure things will get better.
