several people are still working on various maps (and have their own threads: Deallus' Scandinavia Ultimatis for example)

Two people have finished a varient map: Agung Pasha and Kasperus.

To my knowledge they do not get rid of all PTI (although, ironically, the whole reason for being able to alter the maps was to get rid of the PTI :D )

Well the idea was to get rid of some PTI, in areas that were habitable-like Mongolia, and parts of Africa. But it's a little rediculous to suggest that many other parts of the world could have been colonised

Hmm, it has never been my intention to get rid of the PTI (entirely) and I'm pretty sure it nether was MKJ's (based on which Agung Pashas map was made)... I actually cannot think of any reason to get rid of all PTI, unless you aim for some moder day scenario anyway.

I would have desired that new maps have new provinces in PTI only,
leaving the other areas like as in Vanilla form.
But with them also hunting for new european provs started ...

Seeing how many Vanilla provinces were just wrong anyway, I don't think it was ever going to be the case that changes would only occur in PTI areas.

Ah, my bad. I just recall Inferis' Hacking the TBL thread. Most of those who were enthusiastic wanted to see the PTI go.
