Time of Trouble event difficulty

Using EEP 1.2 on a clean 1.05 install

(The reason being an old save-game which I am playing through and slowly writing an AAR on)

Playing as Russia

I got a persistent CTD c.5 September 1609. After trying about 5 times I guessed this might be an event driven CTD.

I then realised that event 40109 did not fire. This is the Succession to Fedor Godunov event.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

You might want to update to EEP 1.42 and EU2 patch 1.07 - I think that would improve your chances of an answer ... just a suggestion

Thanks for the suggestion. I have managed to trick it through now, by coping the Russian events file over from an newer version.

I could not unfortunately do what you suggested because teh save is incompatible with later versions for some reason.
