Interesting Problem - Don't know if its a bug or a system problem.
Running 1.05c
Microsoft XP
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
2.09 GhZ
449 MB Ram
NVidia Graphics
I am playing France and in December of 1941 as soon as I am notifed that two new units are ready the clock switches to 0:00 and doesn't advance.
I can place the new units. I can order units. The music continues to play. But time never advances. It's not that I am locked up, because I can still move about the screen and access menus, examine units, etc, but the clock never restarts so no new moves are executed.
My computer skills are minimal so this next bit may have nothing to do with it, but just in case, I will mention it.
I am able to pull of Windows Task Manager, and I see that HOI is consuming between 99-97% of my resources. However, I have no other applications running and have disabled background software like Norton Anti-Virus, etc.
I can't believe that I am sucking dry all of my memory on this.
Is there some max unit count that I am blowing when I build these new units? I have a LOT of foreign expeditionary forces under my control, and my army's pretty huge, too.
I have the latest patch and this is not a CTD, though sometimes I do CTD after I surrender and the scoring screen appears.
I have not had this problem before playing other nations under 1.05c, but at the same time I have not had a game with so many units under my control.
Ideas?
