how smart is the ie with time tables...
i have most of my routes start at 0530...I was wondering, should I spend more time thinking about when the bus will end...for example, the bus starts at 0530 but wont get to the factory district until 0800.....does the ai need to get to work before a certain time and will leave based on that...should i work back words and say..ok i need to get this bus to the factory district by 0700 so the bus will have to leave at 0500???

does the ai look at the start or the end?
thanks

With my couple of hours playing and watching one metro train at a time, it seems to leave the depot in order to start the route at the specific time in the timetable. Someone else may be able to put me right if that's not true. Just going on observation.

Cims (ai people) are spawned randomly, with a heavier rate of spawn during the peaks.

One thing u will notice is morning peak is short and afternoon peak drags on until midnight.

In short, no pre planning for arrival time is considered. It's solely based on numbers spawned at a time of day.

It is random. Unfortunately timetables should probably not vary much throughout the day. Yes day time seems to have a little more traffic than night but not much. CO has proudly claimed that pathfinding and CiM intelligence are working optimally so there are no plans to change them despite this being the number one compliant since day 1. CiMs don't seem to care when they arrive somewhere- they will walk for hours on end to get to their destination. They only care if a vehicle is sitting at their stop waiting for them to arrive. I have CiMs getting to libraries at 2:00 in the morning with a smile on their face. Bosses don't seem to care when their employees arrive either. How many of us live in cities with 24 hour libraries or employers who don't care when you arrive? Not me and I live in New York.

Actually I've noticed vehicles leave the first stop 2-5 minutes early consistently.
