Do we know anything on the scenarios selection? My guess is:

Grand Campaign
Third Crusade (or thereabouts)
The Coming of the Horde
The Hundred Years war
perhaps some kind of 'Final Days of Byzantium'

Ideas?
 
Main scenarios:
1066 - Grand Campaign
1199 - Fourth Crusade
1337 - (Beginning of) Hundred Years' War: Edwardian war

Extra/Interesting Scenarios:
1095 - First Crusade
1145 - Second Crusade
1188 - Third Crusade
1369 - Hundred Years' War: Caroline war
1396 - Failed Crusade Against the Ottomans
1415 - Hundred Years' War: Lancastrian War/(Joan of Arc)
 
it would be excellent if we could make our own custom scenarios.... in fact, I think that CK is the most suited game to have such scenarios... like Phillip V pointed, there are a lot of good starting places for various interesting scenarios....

When did he say that? In FAQ, this is attributed to sergei:
The main game will have one grand campaign starting in 1066. A couple of months thereafter, we're aiming at giving away 2 or 3 additional scenarios.

Furthermore, sergei is referring to a couple months after what?
 
Sounds like the 'couple of months after' means that once gameplay and bug issues are fixed they'll be posting up scenarios as patches to me. The Grand Campaign should keep you occupied till then (and of course there's the "really-Grand campaign" if you continue into EU)
 
Johan stated that there will be the Grand Campaign plus two scenarios one of which begins in 1187.

My guess is also that the second scenario is a Hundred Years War one - thus beginning in 1337.

The 1187 scenario - that must be a third crudade scenario then. :)

Strange that game develoed by Russian has scenario such irrevelant and unimportant for eastern Europeans as 100-years war 8-D

Seriously, I don't care about crussades (except maybe for northern crusades) or HYW, but mostly about Mongol invasion - invasion which destroyed whole half of the Europe and changed the faith of the Europe. THe outcome of HYW didn't change much, while destruction of wealthy, powerful Rusin states had completely changed the history of the continent...

Not to mention it delayed unificaiton of Poland for whole century P-)
 
1066 - good start year.
1187 - 3rd crusade etc.. and Lionheart vs Saladin is cool.
1337 - 100years war.


These dates are also spread out evenly over the timeframe.

My guess is you'll have to wait for the release of the game for that....

Although if you get into the beta, I would imagine you could start working on such a scenario immediately. ;)
 
Interesting scenarios.:) But can you tell me Johan, whether there will come more after some time, as sergei mentioned?:) Or is that a thing of the past?(I seem to remember that it was only one scenario from start it was about then)
