Titular Titles?

Ok so the thing I am wondering is if I create a titular dutchy title, can the character who owns the titular title then have a count as a vassal or is it just like when you are a count(the character only have counties and 1 titular dutchy)?

When you are a count and whant to give away a nother county to a chaacter in your court he will become independant, so to sum it upp does/can a titular title prevent this?

A Titular Duchy will allow you to have counts under you as vassals. Giving away any of your countys will just create a count under you as a vassal.

it works pretty the same as regular titles.

they are just not recreatable and unusurpable because they don't have a de jure territory.
