Would it be a good idea to reinstall hoi and then patch 1.01 and 1.02? It probably doesn't matter but would someone just let me know?!

Some people like a fresh installation when using a patch but I have not heard of any specific problems using the patches on top of an existing installation. Of course, if any problems do arise later on reinstallation is usually suggested as a possible solution depending on the problem.

.. You also do not need to use the 1.01 patch. The 1.02 patch contains the changes from both 
If you have installed any mods for 1.01 then I would recommend uninstalling/reinstalling. Otherwise you should be fine.
Thanks for the advice. I will just leave it be since it seems to be working fine with few crashes. (I must be lucky)
Actually, the game seems pretty stable for the majority of people judging by the number that come into the Support Forum asking for help.
That, and the code is pretty tight, the crashes seem to be more hardware compatibility/driver issue/directx related in our experience...
