OK before I start ranting I better say that I still play with LUCKS and that I like it very much. There are, of course, still room for a few improvement here and there, and perhaps this post can help improve it.

Well, basically at least 1/4 of my court is at any time during the game either diseased with something worse than just the normal disease (leper, plague and that stuff) or has gone over the edge from being stressed (mad, schizophrenic and so forth).
Now I know that the inbreeding of the European courts did nothing to improve the health of the courts in general, but this is just too much. When you search for a new steward in your court and up to ½ of it is plague struck or think they're the new messias, something is wrong. The courts of Europe were not infirmeries and sanatariums.

So basically, what I am trying to say here is that perhaps the probability of developing disease and stress into something more serious should be toned down somewhat? I think it would improve LUCKS quite a bit.

And thanks for this great improvement to the game (to all involved).

I have had the same problems with the disease_stress modification of LUCKS. At one point I had 2/3 of my court and all my potential successors in various stages of malady/insanity and/or disease.

All you got to do is remove the relevant tag from the even file, then everything runs smooth... well, not 100% smooth, seems I got a CTD every now and then due to LUCKS (never got a CTD on an unmodded game).

What is MTTH and how is it done?

MTTH = mean time to happen

You have to edit yourself the following file :

db/events/LUCKS_character_health_events.txt

In every event you'll find something like this :

Code:
mean_time_to_happen = {
		years = 10

Just increase the value, and the event will fire less often.

Like I said in the appropriate thread, if you use LUCKS disease/illness events, I recommend reducing the MTTH of recovery events in character_health_events.txt. See this post: http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2841600&postcount=24

I think the next version of LUCKS incorporates these changes.
This is not enough... set the MTTH values higher of your new illness events.
I had a son which becomes within a month stutter and inbred! :wacko:

So, have him inherit and have fun. :D :p

Anyhow, I've doubled the MTTH for the birth defects events since I posted them here, should be in the next LUCKS (whenever that comes out).
