The user interface is EPIC!

About the modding, now that you've decided to make modding easy how will the mods actually work;

Do you need to make another copy of the game, modify the files and then play it or will it work like Paradox games where you have mod folder and then the game just runs the modified files?

We'll utilize mod folders.

Looks great - and you still have like 6 months till release? :)

Very interesting video
it's great to see how the game will play :)

a few remarks:

- please make it easier to pause /Change speed of the game (without having to open a settings menu)
- submarine preview window is quite dark (is it time of the day dependent?)
- if we click on the base can we have a contextual menu (not sure if it's in just asking :) )
- would be nice if the unknown craft would be "clearer" (we have the unknown in the details window but would love to have a ? or specific color in the preview/unit window as well :))
- at 9:53 you have a screen with I guess is height and speed (?) it looks a bit of an overkill and puzzling to have so many buttons, wouldn't sliders be better

and a few questions:
-what makes the icons bigger/smaller on the map (at least the enemy helicopter looked bigger at the end of the vid)
- multiple waypoints I guess will be in, also patrol missions (by this I mean we won't have to monitor how little fuel a plane has before it crashes I guess it'll go back to base on its own or will we?)
- why 3 triangles coming out of the sub at 02:16?
- do plan on making things like simple right click = attack but hold right click would bring a contextual menu with options like "launch torpedo, decoy or whatever"? :)

really looking forward to learn more about the game, it looks interesting enough for someone who doesn't know anything about navies to want to follow at least hehe
Keep on the great work

Remember this was filmed by a video camera pointing at a monitor in a dubiously lit room. The display is much crisper in real life :)

We had sliders first. Buttons are actually better.

Icons grow a bit when you mouse over them.

There is automatic bingo fuel, yes.

These indicate uncertainty range in detection. At that time, the surface targets were only detected by one sonar, so bearing and range is inaccurate.

We evaluate how exactly the interface works all the time, but we've decided against in-game context menus at this point.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

We're not planning to include the military symbols as an option for the user interface now. Maybe we'll add that option later, if there is a lot of demand for it.

The option would definitely add a finishing professional touch to the game and would appeal to hardcore strategists coming from worlds of Harpoon and others.

This video really raised my interest for this game. :) I like how both naval and aerial combat plays a large role.

I find that 'cynical Brit' fellow still horribly obnoxious, but I'm willing to forgive him considering all his gameplay-rich interviews of the Paradox games. They're very useful.

"applause":cool:
