Summary

Tournament climax illustrations don't display long enough

Description

When doing tournaments, at the end of each contest, as a victor is determined, a full-screen illustration representing the contest type appears. For me, this only happens in the space of an eye blink. They don't linger enough to process them--in fact, they don't linger long enough to screenshot them, or even sometimes know they really appeared. I get a black screen with swirling fog effects before and after (shown). It's not a matter of game speed, it even happens on speed 1.

Steps to reproduce

Click through the steps of a tournament contest until the end. I have participated in multiple tournaments, and it happens with every contest type I've seen. I have not yet hosted my own tournament to know if that's different.

Thank you for suggesting I take video! I got a capture today (after installing the .4 patch) that I think shows the problem well. I'm struggling to share the video because linking to the tumblr post where I uploaded it is getting this post rejected for looking like spam. I'm going to keep trying, and in the meantime, here's a more detailed description.

Right after my character has struck the deciding move in the semifinal and final rounds shown, there is a large illustration (for the duel contest, it's a helmeted fighter holding up a sword) that flashes for less than 1 second, followed by about 8 seconds of the swirling fog effect.

This has happened on every contest type I've engaged with, both with my rulers competing and spectating: horse race, duel, board game, wrestling, recital, archery. The dynasty I've been playing has had its capitals in Himalayan cities, and has mostly been competing in the Indian domains to the south.

It doesn't affect my ability to continue with the interaction, so it's low as a pain point, but it's disappointing that I can't enjoy the art, and it's a bit eye straining to see bright colors flash so briefly.

I'd be happy to tell you more about what doing in game, my system, or settings, if you are able to give me some guidance on what would be relevant to your team.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 5481 laptop with:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB (7.78 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Graphics card: Intel UHD Graphics 620
Operating system: Windows 10 Home

Thank you all again for your time on this!
